I won't repeat what has already been written, it is all true of how peaceful and quiet the area is ,what an incredible house ,
My 10 day stay were nights so quiet ,you wondered if you were only 5 minutes away from downtown Antigua ,
the days you were awakened by the birds .
Eugenia's help made my stay tough to leave , of the many kind acts ,two stand out , I was leaving at 4:00 AM, in the morning ,so the maid "Juana" was cleaning , she was waiting on my laundry to be finished, when I told her , just to go on home, because it was getting late ,I could take them from the dryer .
So 30 minutes pass, and I go to get them ,and there she is folding them for me , she said I would be leaving so early , she did not want me to forget them .
Same with Rigo, the guardian , I open my door ,at around 3:45 AM in the morning ,and he has already gone out to open both gates , to allow the taxi to come the front door. I had told him the night before ,I could do this ,these may sound like small gestures , but they were both done out of kindness, such is the nature of the Guatemalan people , what a amazing country and house to return home to after ,seeing the city and countryside.
And a plus is Rigo's adorable dog, greeting you with playfulness.
Mil gracias Eugenia ,for sharing your home , my girlfriend ,who is Guatemalan, and her family enjoyed their stay at fantasy Island, (their words )
So if you want your version of a dream home and vacation , book this house and live your dreams
One note of observation ,if you put screens on the kitchen window ,and one of the patio doors ,the breeze would be welcomed in the afternoons, without the flying bugs invading the house , just a suggestion.
