"We were traveling internationally and booked this property weeks in advance. The reservation was confirmed by VBRO. When we contacted the owner for check in instructions 1 hour prior to check in, he said he hadn't checked his email and never got our reservation. We were left in a foreign country scrambling for a new reservation for our week-long holiday at 4pm the same day. The property owner seemed to take no responsibility for ruining our vacation. "The location was excellent, and we were warned that the place was under construction. However we were not prepared for the stairs. I am 85 and although I am still very spry, climbing the narrow tread stairs was scary. If I had not had help I could have never managed to carry my suitcase up 2 narrow flights of stairs."
