We really enjoyed our stay in this house. The setting in the forest was so peaceful and quiet. The hot tub was perfect for the cool fall evenings and mornings. The check in and check out process was super easy and the owners went out of their way to welcome us by even turning in the lights for our later evening arrival. We definitely recommend this property if you are visiting the Baltimore/Annapolis area!
My group had a great time at this listing. It was the perfect amount of space for two couples, with an extra area downstairs. Beautiful lake views and easy to get to downtown. Host is great with communication and even checked in on us during our time there. Highly recommend :)
We spent a wonderful 3+ days at this cottage near the Severn. Great little neighborhood near Annapolis, close but secluded. Isaac and family were wonderful hosts!
This was the perfect space for our family of five. Check-in was a breeze and Isaac even went as far as to leave the lights on for us knowing we were getting in late. Isaac let us know he was available if we needed anything, but we did not. Despite the rain, we were able to enjoy the hot tub overlooking the creek. The view was stunning! If you are looking for a peaceful stay, this is it!
Our stay at this lovely, extremely cozy, and, pet friendly was perfect. The home is just as seen in the pictures.
The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are spacious.
The view is so nice.
Everything was easy to access. The owners are so communicative answering questions quickly for suggestions such as take out/delivery options.
Great host and great property. We had our two boys and my wifes parents with us, six in total. Though the property was small, we felt there was always plenty of room to accommodate everyone. We would recommend and would definately stay again.
Epping Forest is a peaceful oasis from which to explore Annapolis, DC, and Baltimore. This cottage was good for our family of 4 and our adult son was thrilled to have his own level downstairs, complete with its own bathroom. The staircase is exactly as described - be advised if you have little ones or anyone with mobility issues. Beds are very comfortable and the neighborhood so quiet we could sleep with the windows cracked open. Beautiful outdoor spaces to include a screened porch, back deck, and front patio, plus path down to the dock. My kids loved the hot tub - a fun added bonus. Communicating with the host was very easy.
We loved this little home. It was a perfect spot for us while our family was in town for a wedding. It was conveniently located, we easily got in and out of town without having to fight traffic.
The home was perfectly clean upon arrival, and didn't require anything upon checkout, which was such a relief when traveling with children.
The host was easy to connect with on a couple minor questions, and the property was just what we needed. We made use of the hot tub and spent mornings walking down to the water. We would definitely return if ever there was an opportunity. Highly recommend!
This cottage sits in an amazing peaceful location on the water and was an oasis for 5 girlfriends to spend several days together and explore Annapolis. We thoroughly enjoyed the spaces, had plenty of room for all of us to stay. The staircase is a bit off-putting if you are trying to carry anything downstairs but it is very easy to navigate otherwise for 5 50-70 year olds without mobility issues. And you can also go outside and walk down the stairs instead if needed. The beds and seating were very comfortable, the linens were lovely and the towels were abundant and were thick and luxurious. We walked in the neighborhood down to a serene quiet park next to the water and checked out the club. We truly enjoyed the patios and screened porch and sat out there morning and evening drinking coffee etc. We would have loved to use the hot tub but, unfortunately, it was the scorching hot week that has hit across the country and the air conditioning inside felt way better to us.
Issac was very helpful and a great communicator.
Hidden away in the Effing Forest community, this quiet gem sits nestled in the trees with a sparkling view of the water below. Even if it is chilly outside you can sit on the deck in front of the fire pit, or in the toasty jacuzzi and still have a great view. If you choose to stay inside there is a picture window in the dining room that you almost feel you are sitting in a treehouse looking out through the trees. All the rooms are bright and clean, the decor is "summer beachy", even though you are on a river in the forest. Everything is warm and welcoming. We were only there for a quiet girls winter weekend, but we could have stayed all week.

Girls weekend local getaway
Four of us booked this little house on a hill with a gorgeous view for our March getaway. The place was extremely clean and cozy. We loved the views, the decor inside the house, the care they took in putting the beds together with so many pillows, the welcome book, and all the little thoughtful things I am sure took place in getting this location ready. The weekend was a pretty cruddy weekend weather wise but being able to use the hot tub was a great treat. The host has blankets in the living room which are super nice for colder days.
The things that we wish we had known before we went were the fact that the description of the listing is incorrect in terms of beds. It has a queen bed, a double bed, a day bed with a trundle and a sofa bed in a room that is separately accessed from the rest of the house. The listing citing two separate twin beds is one of the reasons we chose it and that was not the case. Being four adult women splitting the cost of a rental we try to never put anyone on the floor or on a sofa bed. We made it work though and it didn’t stop us from having a good time. The other thing we wish we had known is how narrow and tight the spiral stairs to get to the downstairs room were. They were quite challenging for all of us to get through and one of us is a cross fit trainer!!
Overall the house is a small cottage in a great location. I recommend it for a quiet getaway.
Adorable house with a great view and location near Annapolis. We really enjoyed being able to spend the day in Annapolis but then retreat to this more private location. The hot tub was a huge plus. There is ample parking. The main living area was beautifully decorated and looked like the pictures. A few suggestions for the hosts - the kitchen, while beautiful, needed better dishes and glasses. Everything was plastic/melamine. I think at the price point and quality of the house, real dishes and glasses would be a big improvement. I will note that when we requested real wine glasses, the host was very responsive and delivered some immediately. I totally understand that you might want to have plastic beverage cups and plates because of the hot tub and outdoor area, but perhaps just provide both and ask people to use the glass and ceramic plates inside. The only other thing I would note is that one of the bedrooms listed is in a walk out basement. It gets a lot of light and has a nice view, however, it is extremely difficult to access and is down the smallest spiral staircase I have ever been on. One could not take a suitcase down the staircase, you had to go outside and go around. Because the staircase is so narrow, renters should be advised that the property is not suitable for people with any disability or older folks. In addition, that third bedroom was advertised as having twin beds, but it is actually a trundle. The person in the main bed would need to step over the other person to exit the bed which is awkward. I think this should be clarified in the listing. All of that said, we did really enjoy our stay and found the host to be very nice and responsive. These are just suggestions to improve the experience.
Overall a great stay! The location makes it an easy access to everything in annapolis. The neighborhood is quiet and thr house has vjews of a creek off the Severn River. There are 3 true parking spots for the house and no on street parking available. There are 3 interior rooms with bed, the downstairs loft with a twin day bed and trundle does not have a door and there's an additonal room with outdoor access only and no direct access to a bathroom with a twin sofa sleeper. Check in was great and our hosts were very accomodating.
Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this cozy cottage It was very clean, had lots of towels, comfortable beds with soft fluffy bedspreads. We also enjoyed sitting outside on the screened in porch when we weren't in the hot tub. The fact that it was in a gated community with lots of gorgeous flowers and trees it felt very private.
We stayed at Isaac’s property for a long weekend in Annapolis. The location was beautiful and we enjoyed being able to utilize the deck with the fire pit at night. Isaac was great and very easy to communicate with.
Enchanting location, sublime stay in charming cottage!
Incredible and lovely! Enjoyed staying in this enchanting Epping Forest waterview cottage so much! It is charming, very comfortable, clean and delightful in every way. The beds were comfortable, the showers great, the linens and thought to detail on comfort was really nice. The location is ideal, removed yet not remote, and immersed in natural beauty. Host Issac was extremely helpful and responsive if anything was needed. Adored every minute of being there, thank you so much!!
Our stay at this cottage was quite enjoyable. We were in Annapolis for the sail boat show and the location was just a short drive to the city center and conveniently located to restaurants etc.
The hosts gave very helpful suggestions for restaurants and we enjoyed our dinner delivered from a local pizza restaurant our first night there as we were all pretty tired from travel.
The hosts were extremely accommodating, providing a pack-n-play and a booster seat for our friend's toddler and also provided a welcome basket with some snacks and a bottle of wine which was delicious and very thoughtful.
The outdoor area
We arrived relatively late in the day, and Isaac had left the outside lights on for us. It's an adorable house with all the amenities provided for, in a quiet secluded area. We were only here for 2 nights. Isaac was very communicative throughout our entire stay, before and after. He gave us great restaurant recommendations and every one we tried lived up to the recommendation. Thank you for making it potentially disastrous weekend (hurricane threat) an enjoyable one.
I came for a birthday get away, not far from home. I wanted to be closer to the water even if it was just a pier, and that's what I got. It was peaceful and cozy quiet fall stay.
The neighbor's homes were a bit close, but there were plenty of trees to hide the voices so I didn't see others much, except the occasional neighbor out walking the hood and enjoying the day. It was a beautiful weekend for a stay :o)
Staying in or getting out, you'll enjoy the features of the home. Plenty of space to separate from others if you need some time alone; or together.
Neat spaces to get together!
