Welcome home to The Bannister Cottage on Lake Hartwell. This vacation home feels like you’ve stepped into a dear friend’s lovely residence instead of staying in someone’s second home. No detail has been overlooked in this newly renovated, professionally decorated home. From beautiful bedding and whimsical décor to a fully stocked kitchen ensures that your vacation on Lake Hartwell is memorable and carefree.

This 3 bed/2 bath house makes this home an excellent choice for couples and even growing families. With the master bedroom on one side of the house and the other two bedrooms separated by the living room, dining room and kitchen, makes the Bannister Cottage an excellent choices for families. Enjoy the gas fireplace located in the living room on the cooler nights, or spend the evenings grilling, dining and unwinding on the back screened in porch. Fabulous views of Lake Hartwell, as well being nestled in a quiet and private cove away from boat traffic and waves adds to the wonderful setting that The Bannister Cottage offers delight in days on the covered dock while the kiddos swim & play or take a relaxing boat ride. Deep water dock with 12 feet of depth at end of dock.

Don't have your own boat or jet skis? Don't worry, you can rent them locally for you to enjoy on the lake. It's location (exit 14 off of I-85) allows for a 15 minute drive to Memorial Stadium, which makes The Bannister Cottage the perfect choice for Clemson fans, alike. You will feel at home as soon as you arrive.

Adorable, well-appointed lakeside retreat
While are timing of a family visit to see our daughter at Clemson was unfortunate given Hurricane Helene (and power was out everywhere), our stay here was great. The cottage looks newly renovated, has great light and space, very nice bed and bathrooms, and a well-stocked kitchen. We would love to come back when we have better luck with the weather!!

Spectacular lake house near Clemson and Anderson
Perfect place to celebrate my daughter’s college graduation! Wonderfully decorated, equipped with everything you could possibly need and full of spaces for gathering ! Host went above and beyond including returning an item I left behind. Would love to stay again!

We were happy to have such a beautiful and functional house for our stay at Lake Hartwell . It was spacious and comfortable and was fully equipped with everything needed! The screened porch was our favorite with a view of the lake and many birds singing in the trees.

Beautiful Lake Front Getaway
My friends and I came up for homecoming at Clemson and decided to stay on Lake Hartwell. This was the absolute perfect place for us! The house was beautiful and perfectly clean and ready for our arrival. We loved hanging out on the dock and sitting out on the patio in the evenings. The hosts made sure our check in process was as easy as possible and had the house completely stocked with whatever you might need. If you find yourself looking for the perfect getaway on Lake Hartwell, I highly recommend this property!

Great house on Hartwell!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, perfectly organized house on Lake Hartwell. We cooked many meals there and had everything we needed -- and more. We ate all of our meals out on that beautiful screen porch overlooking the lake watching birds and taking in the gorgeous view. A family of Carolina wren was nesting just outside the porch and fledged while we were there! This house is truly a little piece of paradise <3

We enjoyed our family time there. The house is easy to get to... right off I-85. Quiet neighborhood which was great for taking walks. The owners were quick to respond when we had a question. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The built in speakers in every room made listening to music very nice. We plan to stay there again and rent a boat from Portman Marina.

Aside from the molded coffee left in the coffee maker and the food under the couch cushions the rest of the house was perfect for the occassion. Upon arrival, texts with pics were sent to owners with no response.

We had an AmAZinG stay at this property. The pictures simply do not do this property justice. It has clean sleek lines, modern and a great flow. Everything needed for the kitchen etc are present even somethings not even thought about. Definately glad we rented a boat from Mark;s for our stay so the house just smoothly transitioned to thewater. Great view and quiet neighborhood. Would definaelty stay again.

Beautiful Home
Beautiful, clean home on Lake Hartwell with dock. The inside of this home was meticulously clean with beautiful furnishings. We loved the dock and kayaks. The home's layout is great for a family. It's in a nice, quiet neighborhood where the kids could ride their bikes around. I would add are some board games as it was rainy one of the days we stayed and I also would tidy up the yard a bit. But overall GREAT stay!
