"Excellent stay at the Porto River. The only mistake we made is NOT having them organize our taxi ride from the train. We took a taxi, but he wouldn't take us down to the river and we had to walk down the hill to the hotel. The hotel had offered, but we didn't think it was a big deal to have them order the taxi but it WAS. We had them order the taxi BACK to the station and it can come down to the entrance of the hotel so you don't have to lug your luggage!!! Otherwise, everything was great. ...

"My Ribeira Guest House was perfectly positioned to walk around the old part of Porto, and was very close to the Ponte Luis I bridge that takes you to the port tasting rooms and the other side of the Douro River. Breakfast every morning was great, the room was comfortable, spacious and tidy (I loved the interior decor, and noticed the locally made wool blanket and pillows from Burel!). A great stay in a great city!"

"Property and apartment in good condition however the furniture was uncomfortable. At no time was it indicated that there was no elevator service from the ground floor to the 1st floor which had a steep staircase with about 20 steps. "We had an excellent stay. From the time of booking, the staff at the Condes de Azevedo Palace made sure we were looked after. The apartment was a mixture of the old, new and the quirky, which I particularly liked. Front of house were always on hand and happy to offer advice on everything about Porto. The secret garden was a great place to go for a quiet drink. I would highly recommend this beautiful location as the perfect base to explore an amazing city. Would definitely stay again."

"Exellent location with the exception that some divers will not go down the hill to the exact address. The flat was lovely and contained everything needed. Only problem was there was a an extra white dubet in the closet with blood stains on it. Was a little unerving, to say the least. Hosts were quick to respond and gave good details.to enter building and flat. Would recommend except for thenone issue with the blood staumed duvet."
