Magical, peaceful stay
We had the most fabulous stay this past week in paradise. The location was just perfect, and the home itself was absolutely beautiful. I want to make sure people know that the noise complaints on other reviews was just not an issue at all. Every once in awhile we’d hear a truck go by but never excessive or for long periods of time. Overall it was incredibly peaceful with an almost empty beach. We loved every minute of our stay.

All time FAVORITE vacation with my family
Ginger Beach House was the perfect vacation home for my family. We enjoyed the home so much we very seldom left. The beach was beautiful and not noisy at all, as previous reviews reflect. We were there over New Year's Eve, built a fire on the beach, and sat and enjoyed being together as a family. The home was stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, and snorkels. We have traveled every holiday for seven years; this is our favorite home. We will be back, and thank you, Ginger Beach House, for the memories. We miss you!

Perfect Family Retreat
The Ginger Beach House is a relaxing oasis, right on the beach, ideal for families and friends who want to have a laidback vacation. The house is beautiful and well-appointed, containing everything you need, with many little extras thoughtfully left for guests, like games, puzzles, and books for all ages. Plenty of towels, outdoor seating & lounge options, and a stunning view from all angles. The location is nicely situated between Kapa’a and Princeville/Hanalei, so the drive to either place is relatively quick and easy. The owners were very approachable and accessible for any questions we had, and made sure we had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Ginger Beach House and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a low key vacation.

Beautiful amazing house
This house is beautiful on the inside and outside!! There were 10 of us staying here and we loved the huge outside deck! There were plenty of comfy chairs to sit on. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed from coffee to grilling supplies to glasses and utensils. Mindy was very quick to respond when we had a question and the owner Ryan made us feel very welcome and at home in his house. The views are amazing and we all loved how close the beach was!! We had a great time!!

The property is beautiful on a local beach. Ryan and Mindy are very responsive. We loved watching the local surfers. Reviews State noise from motocross bikes but it was minimal and part of the local flair. The house is very well appointed and the neighborhood is quiet. We would definitely rent again from Ryan. A dream home with a million dollar view!
The Ginger Beach House was the perfect home for me and my friends. The house itself is even more gorgeous than the photos depict! Spacious with beautiful fittings throughout. Excellent air conditioning when needed. Well-appointed kitchen and very comfortable beds. We spent many hours drinking cocktails on the lanai as the surf crashed. Many a walk taken on the beach. The owners were responsive and an issue with the hot water service fixed within the hour. The location both feels isolated, but is also only a short drive to eat out or buy groceries. I would spend every holiday here if i could!

Most Beautiful Place
We had a wonderful time. When I read the reviews about the noise, I was a little concerned. I want to stress that there was no noise. We had a very peaceful and beautiful time. The beach access is amazing and so private. The local neighbors were very nice. I did yoga at sunrise, and I was the only person on the beach. Please don’t be concerned about the noise. I am so glad I didn’t let those reviews effect my decision.

Yes, it's worth it!!!
This rental exceeded our expectations. The house and views are more beautiful than the web can show you. We had 9 adults and we able to gather at the dining room table but also we all had space to separate if we wanted. House was stocked with everything you need for inside or for the beach. We were there 7 nights and only one night did the park next door disturb me sleeping in the MBR, but they stopped at 11pm, so no big deal. Ryan and Mindy were very responsive and helpful with normal requests and a few curveballs. Definitely recommend this place and would rebook.

Amazing home!
Our family enjoyed an amazing 9 days in the Ginger House! The attention to detail made the home a wonderful place for our family vacation - beds were beyond comfortable, kitchen had every utensil needed to prepare our meals, the outdoor seating was perfect and the view was truly unbelievable. We even grew to enjoy the roosters - our grandsons actually gave them names. Our one challenge is that the home is for sale and we had real estate agents contacting us to show the home. This was a bit of an inconvenience but it worked out fine. This really is an amazing home!

Family of 10 LOVES the Ginger Beach House
WOW! What an amazing week we had in this BEAUTIFUL home. Joe and Beth are outstanding hosts and have thought of everything. They are so well prepared and helpful with great reccomendations for restaurants and activities. This house is awesome - there was more than enough room for everyone to spread out and relax. We had family members of all ages including children and there was something for everyone. The yard is WONDERFUL and having the beach so close was awesome. The Ginger Beach House has been decorated beautifully and is so comfortable yet classy. . I wouldn't change a single thing about it. We hope to return again some day!

Beautiful Home But Beware of Noise
The home is beautiful inside and out. However the noisy public beach park next door to the home did not make for a peaceful stay. We had to call the police on Saturday because of the noise, loud music and gun shots being fired. The line of trucks, atvs, and motorcyles going up and down the beach in front of the house was extremely distracting. Also, the privacy of the backyard is compromised because of the surfers walking through all weekend long. During the week is your best bet here...on the weekends it will be very noisy. For the money, there are similar homes with a more peaceful surrounding.

One level with lanai on beach and away sides. Beautiful view to the adjacent beach and ocean from front of house, common grass space between house and beach with hedge creates privacy from people on the beach but with easy walking access to get to the sand (60 sec). House AC works well, we used sporadically only (August) as the design of the house including fans and circulation is well thought out. House is nicely appointed but that is expected at this very high price point. Be aware that the comments regarding noise from locals revving motorcycle, 4x4, etc engines immediately adjacent to the house are absolutely true. The sound is not prominent if windows are closed and using AC but with house open to circulation, can hear it right next to master bedroom early (7am) and through the evening pretty much every day. The noise is much less prominent in other parts of the house.

SPECTACULAR - Deserves 10+ Stars!
I cannot say enough about the Ginger House! We rented the property for 3 weeks and loved every minute! The house is spectacular, just as pictured on the website. There are stunning ocean views from every spot in the house. It is very spacious with room for a large group. All of the furnishings are very comfortable from the beds, couches, dining space and outdoor furniture! The decor is perfect! Everyone that stayed with us were in awe of the beauty and comfort of the home. The house has everything you could possibly need with extras that most rental properties do not provide like shampoo, conditioner, dove soap, food storage bags, beach towels, plenty of bath towels, to name just a few. The property manager, was very responsive, friendly and helpful. The house is located in a neighborhood occupied by locals and we really enjoyed the local feeling, quiet, not overrun by tourists, we felt at home. The central location makes it easy to travel to either the Poipu/Waimea Canyon to the south and and Hanalei Bay to the North. Very close to Historic Kapaa making shopping and eating out convenient. As to the issue of vehicles on the beach, again, we stayed for 21 days and did not have any problems or concerns. Yes, there were vehicles that occasionally drove past on the beach, but they simply drive by - in 21 days there was never constant traffic or noise that lasted more than 1-2 minutes . 99% of the time we enjoyed pure peace! Can't wait to return!!! We already miss it!

Amazing House, Perfect Location
Our family of 6 adults and a 3 year old spent 10 days in Kauai at the Ginger Beach House. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would give this house a 10!!! The house itself was spectacular, beautifully furnished and equipped with every detail done perfectly, and situated on gorgeous, well maintained grounds. Its beachfront setting on Anahola Beach is breathtaking. The beach was uncrowded (and mostly undiscovered) and perfect for swimming. We will never forget the views of beach and ocean from virtually every room of the house as well as the full length Lanai. Another advantage of the central location of the house on the island is that it is a short drive from either the beaches and sights along the North Shore, or a slightly longer drive to the South shore. We visited and enjoyed many of the beaches from one end of the island to the other, but we agreed that we never found a better beach for swimming and enjoying the sand than right there at Anahola Beach. We literally could not have possibly chosen a better property for the 7 members of our family to vacation at on Kauai. In fact, we are already talking about a return visit and hope to get back there soon. The Ginger Beach House is a real gem.

All depends on what you’re looking for
First, the house and property are fantastic. Very comfortable, well stocked kitchen, great room is open and perfect for hanging out, deck is also great. The down side is that the house and master BR abut the local access “road” to the beach. And while we got a note from the manager AFTER we had booked about the popularity of the beach for locals and that it gets noisy with the motorbikes on the weekends, that was too late for consideration, and an understatement. Not only are there motorcycles whining and reconfirm at all hours, you get to have the locals hanging in their trucks and cars just through the hedges and listen to their bass thumping and smell of cigarette smoke all night. The beach is beautiful, but get ready for the same locals running their beach trucks up and down the beach like a Baja race all day long (and night too). The beach feels more like Central America, which we love and go into expecting this sort of environment. But for the price and Kaua’i, it was disappointing and not as advertised. If you want to have a “local” experience and/or rent a Jeep or Tacoma and race up and down the beach, it’s a great spot. If you want a beach with the Kaua’i beauty and peace, check out Hanalei.

Relaxing. Pictures need to be updated
My wife and I stayed here for 3 days, it was private and relaxing. The noise that everyone talks about from the park next door is there, as locals drive on the beach in their buggies/trucks so you may hear their motors from 6:30am to 2am. Wild roosters in the neighborhood will wake you up most mornings at 6am. The host supplies tons of ear plugs at the house though we didnt use them and we weren't bothered by the noises too much. You will see surfers surfing waves most of the day. The exterior of the property isnt maintained as shown. The current pictures are dated about 8 years judging by the growth of the trees, and the landscaping pretty much grows wild now and not manicured like the pictures show. There is no longer a fire pit or jacuzzi. The beach is covered in drift wood, not clean as shown. Trees have grown very high along the left side of the back yard so you can see down the beach as pictures show. There is a path in the back yard that leads towards the park where the locals park so you have to walk past them to get to the beach, there is no path on the left side of the property to the beach as shown in pictures. The yard is basically mowed weeds, the neighbors yards have regular grass and manicure their trees better than this property. The master bedroom AC was not blowing cold air so we slept in the room with the bigger bed on the opposite side of the house, probably best as this was further from the park noise at night. The interior is great, just as pictured!

The house is beautiful and perfectly maintained. However, this is no "Hawaiian Paradise" We learned the hard way that Anahola Beach is a local Hawaiian neighborhood and the locals seem to be angry to have visitors. This home is right next to a public park and access to the beach which attracts motor bikes that torment all day and all night. These bikes treat the beach like it's a motocross event. We counted 5 abandoned vehicles on the beach with people living in some of those cars. Vehicles are also allowed on the beach; coming and going all night. We heard at least 4 cars get stuck in the sand in the middle of the night. Boom boxes too. Since the house isn’t air conditioned, you can’t shut the windows or doors to help close out the noise. It feels as if the motorcycles are in your living room. Let’s not forget the roosters that never shut up. They crow all day, except around 8pm to 3am then they start again. The roosters are infested in the neighborhood and the hedges next to the master bedroom. We appreciate the rooster heritage on the island but this area is way out of control. You will learn to go to sleep when the roosters do if you want some rest, but the motocross is still happening so you never know what to expect. So, if you're looking for your own “Private Hawaiian Paradise” as advertised; I’m sorry but this is not what we experienced.

Beautiful Home
It’s a beautiful home, but it needs a little TLC. After a BIG trip to Costco, we learned the compressor was out in the refrigerator. Thankfully, there was a second fridge downstairs in the garage, which wasn’t convenient, but saved our food from going bad. The owner was quick to deliver another refrigerator, also in the garage, which was helpful, but not necessary. The tub/shower in one of the rooms didn’t drain properly, so the couple in that room showered in a different bathroom. The hot tub didn’t work. When I asked about it, the property manager said they were waiting on a new control panel. Roman (the handyman) came out twice. Once to investigate the refrigerator and once to drop off more propane for the BBQ. He was also nice enough to drop off cornhole. A game we were all looking forward to playing. The next door neighbor, Lizzie, complained twice about us playing horseshoes. The first night was at 7:40PM. The second night was at 9:40PM. We were aware of quiet hours on the island, and everyone was inside by 10PM. There are a lot of locals on the beach, and at night they race up & down on their dirt bikes, which is super loud. Overall, the house was accommodating for our party of 10. We loved the circular dinner table. It allowed all of us to eat together, and provided a great space to play games. The house was stocked with lots of beach towels & bath towels. There were 2 washer & dryers on-site, which was super beneficial. We spent most of our time outside, on the beautiful deck, or playing in the yard.
