Expansive Ocean Views and a Few Steps to the Beach

This exceptional, two-story home is perfectly located on one of Kauai's beautiful beaches. Upstairs, a vaulted ceiling adds a distinctive touch to the great room where many windows bring spectacular ocean views indoors. Or, step out to the large lanai to take in this beautiful vista first-hand. Let tropical breezes surround you, relax to the soothing motion of the sea and savor this breathtaking panorama.

A white sand beach and the expansive Pacific Ocean are just a few steps from your door.

Lounge on the warm sand and sip a cool beverage or take leisurely strolls along the coastline. Watch for playful dolphins and the occasional sailboat beyond the offshore reef. This special home and its tranquil surroundings invite peaceful interludes.

Many restaurants with deliciously tempting menus are located in neighboring towns. They offer a wide variety of cuisine including fresh seafood, Italian, Japanese, Pacific Rim, Chinese, Mexican and vegetarian.

Wonderful Location
The best part about this property is the beach location. There are fun tide pools that kids can play in, the waves are calm until about 2-3 PM each day. The view from the house is beautiful Ocean. It is close to many fun beaches. It is close to many towns with great places to eat. The road is under construction, which was a problem because you could not drive to the property, but instead had to walk as the road completely closes down M-F 8am-3pm. The houses was very clean. I am very picky about cleanliness, and I was impressed. The house is a worn by the Ocean and appliances /fixtures are older, but everything worked well. We were very comfortable at the house and had a very pleasant time with our entire family.

Wonderful Vacation
Everything was beautiful. The perfect mornings on the lanai with coffee, sun rise, whales, breeze and beauty. We couldnt ask for more and it completely set the scene for our peaceful getaway. There was an issue with construction that wasnt fully disclosed. We knew the road would be closed for repair and we would need to have the car out of the driveway from 8am-3pm. While inconvenient, we figured it out. What we didn’t know was that the house is the closest house to the construction that you can get. Therefore, its loud and disruptive. The crew gets there @7:40am. There is constant back up beeping and grinding and moving of large rocks or something. It was unpleasant and disruptive. The goal is to get out and explore the island but there were times we wanted to relax at home (unfortunately we had a couple of sick kids) but the construction sounds did not fit the scene and it was unfortunate. We were thankful for quiet evenings and weekend. There were no issues with the public access next to the house because all of the construction machinery is parked there when not in use. The house being for sale didnt effect us at all.

What a great spot! Tucked away on the end of anahola beach. Perfect snorkeling spot out the front door. Beach walks. The house is slightly worn, but expected when right on the ocean! There is a sweet lady(Megan) who lives on the beach close to the house, but is harmless and kind. We loved waking up to the sunrise, and listening to the waves each night. Would definitely recommend/stay here again. Mahalo ❤️

Amazing Sunrises
We had a very enjoyable relaxing time. The check in process was very easy. We received an email prior to landing that had all of the pertinent information. We woke to amazing sunrises every morning and enjoyed snorkeling directly in front of the house. There are lots of rocks and coral and it is very shallow, but lots of little tropical fish to see. Local beach just adjacent to the south has a homeless woman that stays and entertains there but other than a car alarm going off one evening no issues. She was pleasant and unobtrusive. Cons - LOTS of flies in the house; smoke detectors all need their batteries replaced. I emailed the rental company and then just went and got a replacement battery to fix one issue and the next day another one started chirping. They need to replace all of these on a regular basis so the customer doesnt have to deal with that. Washer/Dryer conveniently located in the garage so you can do laundry. Lots of beach towels and chairs available. Cooler and sun shade available to use and take to the beach as well. If you want to cook you will need to bring your own spices and oil. Only salt and pepper in the house. Every other place we have stayed had additional items, something to consider. Also, only one roll of paper towels and no napkins at all, so stop at the grocery store if you are going to be here for a few days. We would absolutely stay here again! Amazing Views!!!!

Spectacular stay in a spectacular location!
Our family of 7 (teens to 80+) stayed here for 10 days & could not have been happier with our choice of house/location! The setting right on the water is BEAUTIFUL; glorious views + a 24/7 soundtrack of breaking waves + a constant ocean breeze made things feel magical all the time. One of our big drivers for selecting the property was the snorkeling in the protected area/reef right out the back door; it was great for how easy/low-effort it was! We also had fun exploring the tide pools on the daily - there was tons to see. The house itself isn't anything fancy per se but was perfectly nice, comfortable & well stocked w/kitchen stuff & beach gear. There's a huge lawn + a bocce set so we put that to good use. Only real criticism is no gas grill; we made do with the charcoal one but not having a gas grill at a big rental home seems downright silly given their cost these days?? Addressing some concerns from previous reviews: with the ocean breezes + fans going everyone was perfectly comfortable sleeping at night/no need for AC. And we had ZERO issues with noise from locals using the adjacent beach; a number did throughout our stay but everyone was super-friendly/nothing but positive interactions. Big picture the Anahola location on the east coast is awesome. Loved how peaceful it was outside of a big population center. Tons to do nearby & not that long of a drive to even the furthest reaches along the south & north shores. Would 1000% recommend & stay here again!

Just remember you're paying for the amazing location
This rental is located on a pristine coastline with a back yard that steps down right on the sand. The area just off the beach is good for snorkeling though there was a strong current when we stayed in late April during some heavy rainstorms. The sound of the waves and smells of the flowers were the best part. The age of the house with malfunctioning security system and smoke detectors was not great. We had to do some maintenance to get the security system to stop chirping. Property management was little help. The slider in the living room is very difficult to use. Other than that the house is well equipped and functional. Just remember you're there for the beach and the Aloha and the rest just won't matter that much.

10 days in Paradise
We had the most amazing time in Kauai, one of our favorites was the home. It had plenty of room for our family of 7. We were able to huddle together or separate for privacy. The kitchen is large with all the cooking utensils/cookware you’ll need, even a rice cooker. The rocks you see in the photo actually create a protective reef, we snorkeled everyday. And once the water goes out you can go out even farther, because there is another reef (you can see in the Ariel photo) We watched whales every morning from the top deck. Bring binoculars! Plenty of towels, blankets etc. the couch turns into a bed as well. Outside there is a shower to wash yourself off from the beach. Locals park and swim next door, but they are kind and never bother. We walked the whole beach until the next curve. We saw turtles, octopus, Persian man of war, multitudes of fish in our beach front. It was truly the best place to be. Location was great, quite, away but not far. Kapa’a where we spent most of our time, was only 15 mins south. Poipo about 45. Prineville about 40. There was beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, and various swim gear, including life jackets that I was surprised wasn’t mentioned. Although we did bring our own snorkel gear, there is some there. My only complaint was no pepper, there was salt but no pepper. Property management was great! I called a couple of times with silly questions and they were always happy to answer and help. We would rent this home over and over again.

Relaxing, out of the way retreat
Wonderful 270 degree views of the ocean from the main level is the highlight of this property. Hearing the waves all day was very relaxing. Property is a 10 minute drive from Kapa'a and 20 from Hanalei. Traffic going south was very bad so beware of the construction going on in and around Kapa'a. Public beach next door was a minor issue at times, especially at night when the car lights illuminate the house. Gas was stolen the last night from our car parked in the driveway overnight, so get a car with locked gas cap! Great property manager communication. Ice maker doesnt work so bring ice! Overall, a great family trip!

The Perfect Hawaiian Getaway
This house is by far the best place we have ever stayed in! When we arrived we could not believe the location. It is right on the water and the views were breathtaking. We snorkeled every day in the cove right in front of the house and we saw so many incredible fish. The small cove was surrounded by rocks and felt like a large private saltwater pool filled with tropical fish. Our son went out of the cove and spearfished, he had a great time and caught some incredibly large fish. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Kauai!

Perfection!
The location is perfect for exploring all around the island. Photos of this house and grounds are ok... In reality, the views are indescribably beautiful and change by the hour. Inside, the furniture looks and feels much better than in photos. The couch is super wide and perfect for cuddling. Local art is throughout the home. Honestly, I searched elsewhere bc of past reviews about "locals" on the public beach next door. Please don't let that beach dissuade you! In a week, we saw maybe 2 people per day, and they were so nice and quiet. If they're not nice, perhaps it's bc we can ruin what they have.... Enjoy this beauty, while anyone can.

Seaside Retreat
Lovely home with beach and wonderful views. Good snorkeling right there, as well as swimming. The fact that the very end of a public beach is next door is only slightly problematic. Those utilizing the public beach were respectful and on several occasions very informative regarding local sea life and attractions. Absolutely stunning!
Upon arrival, the house was meticulously cleaned, which is hard to find when staying on the ocean! The beds are very comfortable, the furniture is clean and comfortable, the kitchen is extremely well stocked and the managers have thought of every little thing you could possibly need to ensure you don’t have to make extra trips back into Kapa’a. The view is indescribable and it’s a short walk to the most pristine private beach you can imagine. The house backs up to a small dirt lot where locals come to fish or barbecue or play with their kids. We never had an issue with noise, everyone was so respectful. Multiple times a day, every person in our group gazed out at the amazing view and said, “Oh my gosh, I LOVE this house”. The Anahola coast is hands down my favorite place to stay in all of Kauai. It is central to many of the things we enjoy doing and there are very few tourists. We will absolutely be coming back to this home!!!

Great ocean views, very clean, but needs updating and more privacy
The property was immaculately clean, had pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen, and plenty of indoor and beach towels for us to use. 6 of us stayed for 7 days in the home. Overall it felt pretty secure with an alarm system and door/window locks, and an available locking cabinet for valuables. As others have noted, while it’s clean, it’s in need of updating. The house is a late 80s/90s style, has various styles of area rugs throughout the living area, does not have any AC, and relies on the ocean breeze. The house did cool down pretty fast when we opened all the windows but it’d be nice to have had some AC in the bedrooms. The house is on the ocean with access to a beach, though the area immediately out the back of the house drops to rocks in an ocean pool. The pool is surrounded by rocks which keeps the area pretty calm so it’d be great for kids to play in. The view from the lanai was amazing each morning with the sunrise! The central location made it easy for us to get around the island. The only drawback is that immediately next to the property is a beach with direct road access. Locals use this area to set up camp and can be seen and heard, as this area is no more than 20 feet away from the house. If they had been respectful of this distance it would have been fine, however we were woken up on multiple occasions to adults screaming at each other at the top of their lungs at 6am. This really took away from any serene moments and any attempt to wake up leisurely. While it never escalated to us needing to call the police, I emailed the property owners to ask about this through the app to see if it was expected, and I never received any response. The property should be updated with better privacy between the house and the beach area, perhaps with more trees and brush. Since closing the windows was not an option as it’d be too hot, we had to deal with this throughout the trip. When one family left, another came, and we probably had 3 sets of campers setting up tents, grills, and parties throughout the week.

Not too shabby
So we recently stayed in the house for 7 nights. My toddlers, 2 and 3, shared one room, husband and i bunked in the queensized bed downstairs, next to the kids and my parents took the master upstairs. A few things i wish i had known. The lot Nextdoor is a public beach, if you get out there early, you can get your spot locked in for the day. It can get a lot of traffic, especially at night. While we did meet some very nice locals we did have a few partiers come down and blast music and smoke ‘something’ that wasn’t cigarettes. We left the porch lights on at night to deter anyone from ‘exploring’ our property. The house itself needs a couple of small repairs. The screens were loose or falling out in some places. The rungs on the lanai need to be checked and hammered in better, as an unattended child could easily push them out. The furniture is not the coziest, could be updated. With all that being said, the location is lovely. I went for a sunrise jog every morning. When it is low tide there is plenty of beach for playing and exploring for hours. My kids both would always ask to go back to ‘our beach’ if we ventured somewhere else on the island. The rocks in front of the house gave the right amount of protection for the kids to enjoy the water and still have waves. We literally spent hours each day climbing through the tide pools, looking for shells, checking out fish, etc. when it is high tide, there really isn’t any beach in front of the house and you have to go to the lot nextdoor. The management company was great making sure our needs were met while we were there too. Kitchen was well stocked with enough stuff to get by. Garage had a ton of fun beach stuff, we left a couple beach toys for kids too. All in all, I’d def stay there again, but would hope they could make a few updates as mentioned above.

Lovely building and location
My family, four adults and two 9-yr-olds, really enjoyed our stay. Accommodations and supplies were perfect. The waterfront is so cool with the natural lava rock tide pool, lots of wildlife to see, coral to collect. Saw a whale breach right by a rainbow on the horizon! The mid east shore is a great spot to travel from for day trips. There is a park next door that has a fair amount of traffic but we met a lot of interesting locals, cute kids to play with, fun to watch them snorkel and fish. One family showed us an octopus they caught (and released). This is my second visit to this house, I will come back again some day.
