Marathon disappointment
The curtains were falling off the rail, the lamps were not plugged in, the tv was falling off it's stand, the shower bracket was broken so we could not hold the shower up, they 'recommended' nobody should use the lift after 10pm as there was no staff in the hotel after that time, our room was tiny. Other than that, Tatiana on reception was very pleasant!

Get what you pay for
Conveniently located. Helpful staff. Mattress was too soft for our liking and the walls were thin causing us to ask the next room to keep the noise down but overall it was good value for money compared to other centrally located hotels.

Nice hotel in great location, friendly staff
We stayed for 2 nights at hotel sander and had a great stay. The staff were extremely helpful and provided us with fresh milk and extra tea bags for our room when we asked for them, as well as giving us information and tips on things to do. The hotel was clean and great for the price. Comfortable bed, good ensuite bathroom.

ça se défend bien !
L'atout principal de cet hôtel est la qualité de son accueil. Les trois personnes que j'ai rencontrées ont été courtoises et prêtes à répondre aux renseignement. La chambre, bien que petite possédait le confort classique. Quant au petit déjeuner, s'il y manquait les plats chauds, il n'en était pas moins copieux et de bonne qualité. Comparé aux autres établissements sur Amsterdam, ça reste un bon rapport qualité/prix.

Hotel vieux et mal insonorisé sans aucun service !
Hôtel vieillissant, très mal insonorisé, chambres à rénover complètement. Aucun service en chambre (café, clim,...) Arnaque sur le prix des petits déjeuners (à la tête du client) Arnaque sur le prix pour le taxi vers l'aéroport (pas le prix annoncé) Seul avantage, sa situation pas trop loin du centre à vélo. The staff was helpful.. It was a nice ,clean and spacious room.. The service was great and the hotel is very accessible.. I would stay at hotel sander again if i come back in amsterdam.. Recomended for people looking for accessible, cheap and descent room :)

Never stay here!
Sewage leak from the above room that management was impartial about fixing. Staying in Amsterdam's dirtiest hostel would have been preferable. No refund given, just repeated statements that a plumber was called.
