Unfortunately the weather wasn’t that good when we were there but we were able to drive to Pisa and Lucca for day trips. "My friend and I had an amazing trip while staying at the little pirate house. Its location was close enough to get to everything but off the path enough for privacy and quiet at night. We loved Monterosso and all of Cinque Terre and especially enjoyed learning how the history of the dates related to the property. "Nice apartment - at the top of Manarola so be prepared to walk up hill. The photos of the apartment show a nice deck with chairs - which was the main reason we chose to rent here - unfortunately, there is no deck at all. Pretty view of the ocean and village if you lean out the windows, but no outdoor space at all. That was pretty disappointing. Everything worked in the place and it was clean."

"Beautiful location, restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. Lots of stairs on the property. Had a toy room and playground that our toddler loved. Easy to take the bus to Riomaggiore (10 min ride, 2.50 Euro per person)"

"Great view seaside view with the calming sound of the waves breaking onto the shore. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in setting us in and providing recommendations for our travel around Cinque Terre. Room is simple but cozy. Everything works but the air conditioner definitely needs some cleaning/servicing."

"This was an excellent choice for a place to stay in La Spezia. I am so happy that i booked this hotel. The decor was modern. The staff was excellent and very welcoming. Even the people staying at the hotel were friendly. The breakfast was great as well amd had a good variety of food to choose from. The room was comfortable and I had a huge balcony. I love being near clock towers and this room didn't disappoint! It is walkable to the train station and just about everything else in La Spezia. If you need a place to stay, The Poet Hotel is it! For the people who talk about the strong fragrance, this is a large reed diffuser that is located in the stairwell. It was noticable outside the room, but definitely not in my room. "

" We arrived at the hotel during the night when it was already dark. In the morning, as I woke up and looked out the window, the view was simply breathtaking. The area is stunning and very inviting. Parking at night is available around the hotel, with free public parking until the morning. However, the reception desk offers a more convenient parking arrangement in a dedicated lot just one block away, which I would highly recommend. The staff was kind and accommodating, and the hotel is clean, elegant, and well-maintained. A highly recommended stay!"
