Just tucked away enough to feel like a private oasis but an easy and quick drive into Amboise, which was a perfect home base for exploring the rest of the Loire. Beginning with "Greg" (best we Texans could do pronouncing this nice young man's name) who greeted us and parked our van and got us dinner reservations in the on-site Restautant and escorted us to our lovely rooms. We felt like we were in an ancient chateau with all of the modern comforts. I guess we were! Walking distance to everything in the charming town of Amboise. Our group of five declared this our favorite place is a two-week French road trip. We would all go back...

Too far to walk. also check in is not until 5pm so you lose a day waiting around with your luggage staff do not turn up until 5 pm on the dot the rest of the time it is like the Marie Celeste. It was clean and comfortable but lacked any personality would not stay there again."
