This is a ground floor apartment with fairy-tale windows and bursting with light. This is perfect option for a stay in the heart of the Lake District for both family and friends alike. It is one of our favourites here at the Graythwaite Estate! A spacious ground floor stone courtyard cottage, located close to Esthwaite Water and Hill Top, home of Beatrix Potter. The cottage features open plan living with a kitchen and a sitting area with a woodburning stove, two bedrooms and a bathroom. You can also make use of the large lawned area complete with seating overlooking the stunning lake and countryside surroundings, so whether you’re a couple looking for a romantic break or a small family looking for the perfect escape to the serenity of the lakes, this apartment is the perfect choice for a memorable holiday in the hidden gem that is our Esthwaite Howe Farmyard. All of our Esthwaite Howe apartments are fitted with a kitchen with an oven, microwave, kettle and toaster, as well as basic cooking utensils and cutlery, etc. Each bathroom also has a heated towel rail and clothes airer. The communal laundry facilities with both washer and dryer are found to the right-hand side of the courtyard as you enter, which guests are welcome to use at their leisure. Lovely little apartment
Apartment was absolutely lovely. Clean on arrival and we were impressed with the size. Came with all the essentials like bin bags, toilet roll and washing up powiod amd cloths etc. A really nice country cottage look throughout, although the doors were dated amd bathroom could have done with some attention. Any issues we're dealt with in a matter of minutes. Location is lovely, very quiet and close enough to Hawkshead. Will definitely be coming back!

Tired property in need of refurb
Like the property, but it desperately needs modernising, particularly bathroom and attend to the mould around the bath silicone. The 70’s glass doors really age the property. Dangerously loose pan handle could cause a scald injury. The whole property is a bit ‘ tired’ and I would not recommend it to others as it is not a cheap option to stay here.

November Stay
We stayed for 10 days for long break away from city life. It was v peaceful & relaxing and our dog loved being away from the fireworks etc. There's some nice pubs not too far away plus hawkshead has some good amenities for your needs. We've stayed there for the last two years so that tells a story.
