"Pleasant and efficient check-in. Breakfast -Plenty of choice but food area small to accommodate the food and the clientele. Lift for upto 5 people. Side exit on upper floors with push doors. If not closed fully lift will not function. Staff run upstairs to deal with the problem quickly when informed but clients can be left waiting and wondering why. Rooms recently renovated. "Room was small, no air conditioning so had to try to sleep with window open. People smoking and talking outside until early hours of morning so very little sleep. There was an odour which we believe was coming from full rubbishy the bins close by. "

"Maybe it was my fault but I did not realise there were communal showers and toilets. You have to pay for a towel-small charge. The bed was the worst I have ever slept in-it appeared to be a solid piece of foam. The wifi stopped working in the morning and was not repaired. The staff do not speak english and did nothing about the wifi. Maybe you get for you pay for!"

"We were there for a night while traveling through France. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was spacious. The walls are very thin and we could hear every noise from the rooms down the hall. Convenient location by the train station and staff were kind and helpful."

"Absolutely amazing and much cheaper than an equivalent hotel in the UK. Bedroom was huge and spotless. It was a super king double, with lovely views over the countryside. The continental breakfast was superb. There is no kettle in the room, but you do have access to a kettle outside, so bring your own tea and coffee."

Sofa bed when as a couch was faux leather and quite damaged. Upon complaining I was kindly offered 2 other rooms but athough these were modernised and newly updated in the end I stuck with original room due to the extra space, how bright it was and the amazing 8th floor view. Upon complaining I was kindly offered 2 other rooms but athough these were modernised and newly updated in the end I stuck with original room due to the extra space, how bright it was and the amazing 8th floor view. Just threw a duvet over the sofa. Beds are extremely comfortable and all the items you need in a flat are provided. Staff go above and beyond to help you have a comfortable stay. Especially Michael who was extremely helpful. I would certainly stay again. "

Fantastic property in amazing location

"The house was a really special place to stay with beautiful rooms and fantastic facilities. Despite the cool, damp weather outside, the house was lovely and warm with easily controllable radiators - a really pleasant surprise in such an old building. The pool was great and the games room was a real treat - especially for my teenage son and husband! The location is great - just round the corner from the centre of Saumur and all it has to offer. We were able to be at the table of one of the excellent local restaurants in minutes by foot. Gilles was an attentive host and made sure we were enjoying our stay. I would highly recommend!"
