"We had a superb stay here at Fare Toerau. The house is spacious with an open floor plan and lofted second floor. Its modern appliances for cooking and laundry made staying here very convenient, and sleeping is comfortable with the bedroom ACs. The provided bikes and snorkeling equipment are also handy and we made good use of them - it’s a nice bike ride to Matira beach. Our property manager Luana was very attentive, responsive, and friendly - I cannot recommend her enough. She helped us book a rental car on New Years Eve when it was sold out pretty much everywhere, and has plenty of recommendations for activities.Location-wise, it is a 15 minute bike ride to Matira beach, the only public beach on the island. Many activities can be booked in this area, including a lagoon tour (Motu FanFan) and jet skiing (Matira Jet), both excellent. The closest grocery store is Tiara Market, a 8 minute bike ride away, although Chin Lee in Viatape has better prices and selection. I would suggest a rental car for at least a portion of the trip, and definitely ask Luana for recommendations - as a local, she can secure better prices for rental cars and activities.We also enjoyed several of the fresh delicious passionfruit that grows on the front wall of the property :)"

"We have travelled quite a bit, and this hotel was the best that we have ever been to! This was our 5th hotel in French Polynesia (2nd in Bora Bora), and by farrrrrrrrr our favourite!!! From the reception at the airport to the moment we checked out, everyone was friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable! The room was absolutely beautiful, the property was immaculate, the spa was exceptional, the food was amazing, the gym was more than adequate, the views were breathtaking! Special shout out to Edouard Courgeau who made everything seamless and easy for us! He anticipated our needs and desires, surprised us with our favourite desert, and just made us feel very well taken care of! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this property for a trip to Bora Bora!!!"

"We had an extremely relaxing time in this house. Kitchen is outdated for us who love cooking but we still made it work. Coming from Matira beach previously, the surrounding and water is not as attractive but you can still swim from the dock.We enjoyed the quietness and again very relaxing time for a family of 5 without feeling crowded.Very welcoming. We recommend ."

"This is one of a kind property. We have travelled a lot and this would rate close to, if not at the top. Nir the owner has done an amazing job with his cottages to the point there has been articles written about them in travel magazines. The bathroom in particular is phenomenal. Nir is also extremely attentive to all the guests needs, going out if his way to help. Definitely staying there again when coming back to Bora Bora!!!"

"It was a truly wonderful experience – the beach is superb, rooms are comfortable, well airconditioned. Breakfast offers excellent coffee, local fruit, baguettes and cookies. Dinners are good, a restaurant on the sunset beach side is also 10-15 minute walk and a good local shop is within 2 minutes. Contact reception in advance to arrange a pick-up shuttle from the airport ferry dock. Renting bikes for a day from the reception to go round the island worked out well."
