Spacious Victorian style cottage, designed for relaxation, NOT for work crews, we’re sorry. Sweet front porch and large rear patio for outdoor living. Private, quiet location, yet steps away from dining, shopping and wine tasting in historic Amador City. Over 40 wineries are a short drive away.

Halcyon House has been a five star vacation rental since 2016, and have a loyal group of repeat guests. Join us and see why!

The house features a main floor master with king bed and full bath. Second floor includes one king bedroom and one queen, with second bath. Both upstairs bedrooms have dormers with day beds, perfect for kiddos or a reading nook. Kitchen is fully furnished with plates, glasses, flatware, pots and pans, small appliances and coffee, tea, creamer and sweetener.

Charming front porch is one spot for outdoor relaxation. Large private back patio offers lounge area, dining table and grill. Propane tank and grill cleaner are included. Please let me know if you run out of either.

Marilee was super accommodating and easy to communicate with! Highly recommend if you’re going to be in wine tasting area. The house is very clean, well equipped and charming.

I was so happy when I walked in the door - clean, charming, spacious, comfortable, and a very well equipped kitchen! Had a lovely week with my kids where we were able to spend quality time together and also all have our own space. Highly recommend and I will book this place again next time I visit!

Better than we could have ever imagined!
Having never been in the area before, we were thrilled by the location for one - one block walk to great food and cocktails at the Imperial, local brewery, quaint city. Everything we were here to do was a short drive. And once back at Halcyon House, it offered every amenity we needed - great attention to detail, very welcoming setting, indoor and outdoor areas that are comfortable and relaxing. I speak for all 6 of us when I say this is a wonderful gem, a home away-from-home, with a host who is friendly and responsive (not that we needed anything!) We highly recommend!!!

Amador City Treasure!
Just returned from two nights at this lovely property! There were six of us friends on a wine tasting adventure! This home was by far the best VRBO I've had the experience of using! It was private and in a charming setting. The host was diligent in replying to my inquiries! It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we could have needed, plenty of bath towels, etc! I would recommend this to anyone who would be going to this area!

Great house in great location
Very clean house in excellent condition. I love the way the bedrooms are set up so you can have kids or someone stay on a single bed with you. Beds are all super nice and comfy. We rented as an extra house for a bunch of family over holidays and it was perfect I think some are renting again with friends.
