"Fantastic hotel right in the centre of Portalegre. The staff were very helpful, the room was great and the breakfast was excellent. The neighbourhood is quaint with lovely old cobbled streets with good shops, interesting buildings and good restaurants. Easy access to the local national park. "

"The hotel is in an excellent location with good views over the rural landscape. The decorations are getting a little tired but it is still OK. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The one surprise that we had was that the only food on offer in the restaurant was local peasant food with no written menu available. The food was good but basic and we had no idea what it was going to cost us. The walls between the rooms are very thin as we could hear exactly what was going on in the neighbouring rooms!"

"Stayed here for one night on a long day trip and it was very cute and typically portuguese. I would stay here again especially for what you get for the price it is a steal. A very cute town with many cute towns around it, really good place to rest on a road trip. I would stay again"
