"Although I was in an 8 bed dorm with a youth group aged 11 to 14 I was not as surprised as they were when I moved in. As retired teacher I was used to children like them but they went quiet when I walked into the dorm. The youth leader tried to get me moved out but this was the only bottom bunk in the massive modern Generator Hostel. "Fantastic location next to the S+U Warschauer stop: there is lots to do in the area and Warschauer is an easy stop to get around Berlin from. The staff are all friendly and helpful, bathrooms and common areas are kept very clean. There is a small kitchen area that guests can use. The dorm room is nothing special, but the beds and space provided are fine, and it's nice that towels and sheets are provided for free. I would stay here again."

"Worst place i have ever stayed. Not good sorroundings, there is drunk guys on the lounge, the room are smelly and hot with no ventilation. The hostal faces the train station so you wont get to sleep, because the train wont stop trough the night. The staff makes fun of you and has a bad attitude, i had to leave this place on mi first night and they wont give you a refound. When I told the reception lady that the train is way to noisy, she said: what do you expect if it is beside the train...

"Had a wonderful stay at Smartments Prenzlauer Berg. Facility is modern, clean and located adjacent to the Landsberger Allee S-Bahn station - making transportation super convenient. There is a large grocery store within a block. There is a Doner restaurant that is open 24 hours (as of Sept 2024) next to the apartment complex. Room equipped with small refrigerator. Bed low but comfy. No air conditioning but did not need in September. Fan in room - which would definitely need in summer month....
