"This property is wonderful for a quiet getaway, it’s beautifully decorated with lots of interesting things to discover and the kitchen is so well equipped, we could have easily hosted a 12 person dinner party! You definitely need a vehicle and there is no shop or pub in the village. We really liked the lack of a TV it was a plus. "Cute little terraced cottage, immaculately clean and with a thoughtful gift of wine and biscuits. The small kitchen makes the best of an awkward layout. A few suggestions - a small double bed instead of a single in the smaller bedroom, an upgraded bathroom esp. the shower and recycling instructions. "

"Overall, a pleasant stay. A little disappointed at lack of sea view, no view at all, in fact. Property well designed, but smaller than expected. Only real problem was the living area had cobwebs and spiders in ever corner, on the ceiling and in the light fittings. I realise Sept is spider season, but most cobwebs were well established, e.g. skylight in entry. Used the vacuum to clean up after first emptying the canister which was jammed solid. Would book again, but for a shorter stay."

"The Gate House is exactly as described. The property is small but very well appointed (in fact, it felt the perfect size). The host was quick to respond to queries and both thoughtful and detailed in replies. The views of the surrounding landscape are beautiful. The hot tub is nice. The main drive for Hetton Hall is nearby but that wasn’t an issue. We enjoyed a few nights of relaxing time in this excellent property. "Very comfortable and clean property"

"Lovely property had everything you could want and more. Easy check in instructions. Central for good days out, very close to Alnwick. Beds very comfortable. Only thing and it wasnt a problem but if you looked closely there was a lot of dust, radiators a bit rusty, hole in wall behind front door, could do with a spruce up. Would def go back"

"The cottage was very clean, comfortable, value for money and had everything needed for a lovely holiday. The garden was reassuringly secure for a dog that was desperate but unsuccessful in her attempts to escape to chase the many rabbits.Thank you"
