Almuñécar is a town located in the Tropical coast of Granada. The access is through the National Road 340 and mediterranean highway (A7). This beautiful city enjoys a mediterranean and tropical weather with warm temperatures during all year around.

The most recommended activities are enjoying sunbathing, the beaches, and the nice temperatures. But Almuñecar is more than this. Almuñecar is nature, and we recommend visiting Peña Escrita a nature park with different animals like zebras, hippos,lemures, bears etc... Also The botanical and ornitologic parks contains plants and birds diversity from all the continents and must be a compulsory visit.

Almuñecar is leisure too, from here you can visit Granada and The Alhambra, Costa del Sol, or others locations of Tropical coast like Salobreña or Motril. Almuñecar means sports, with one of the better places in Spain to practice scubadiving. Other sports that you can practice: paragliding, bike riding, horseback riding, paddle tennis, skating, canoeing, windsurfing ...

Almuñecar has a great variety of beaches, urban, isolated and nude beaches along the seacoast from La Herradura to Salobreña.
Common features to all of them is the dark sand and rocks, bowling in some cases, with warm clear water temperatures. We highlight urban beaches like La Herradura or isolated like Calaiza. Also we can focus on nude beaches like El muerto or Cantarrijan in where naturism people can enjoy.

If you seek peace and tranquillity this is the place
Beautiful property with stunning views of the valley below with more to see if you venture further up the mountain. We chose not to hire a car which was absolutely fine we simply walked down the mountain to the fruit shop which has a bus stop outside, although we only ever saw one bus pass there, and got a taxi from there into Almunecar and a taxi back up to the property. Don't try to walk to Almunecar like we did, it's too far and there are very few footpaths along the busy roads and our encounter with a snake was interesting but not one we would want to repeat. The buses from Almunecar are regular and reliable so you can easily explore further afield via public transport but I will say that having a car would have been easier. We found 2 supermarkets close to the bus station, Lidl and Mercadona, both providing fantastic fruit and veg and everything else you could need, we especially liked the fish counter in Mercadona. The property itself is fantastic, the double bed was slightly uncomfortable and rather creaky but we slept well all the same. The owners have provided everything you could need except a kettle!? but we just used a saucepan instead. I would recommend buying bottled water as our coffee wasn't very nice made with tap water. Outside the property offers comfortable spaces for eating, relaxing and catching the sun at any time of day, the pool is perfect for a cooling dip but not big enough for a good swim. The terrace is a great place to observe wildlife, we saw lesser kestrels daily and were visited by a house gecko. The owners were friendly and easily contactable but left us to enjoy our stay in peace once they had shown us around. They only speak Spanish but with an online translator we were able to converse when needed. The WiFi is excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

Schönes Anwesen, aber sehr abgelegen
Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet, es sind zwei Terassen, ein Swimmingspool und ein überdachter Stellplatz vorhanden. Eine der Terassen ist überdacht, man kann es dort gut aushalten. Allerdings befindet sich das Anwesen 5km östlich von Almunecar unterhalb einer Autobahnbrücke, was aus der Beschreibung der Ferienwohnung leider nicht hervorgeht. Die Einfahrt zum Haus führt von einer einspurigen Straße über einen ca 100m langen, und engen Schotterweg zum Hof.

Experiencia excepcional
Hemos podido disfrutar de la casa durante 1 semana y ha sido una experiencia buenísima. La casa está absolutamente equipada con todo lo que se pueda necesitar y las dimensiones de las diferentes estancias son muy adecuadas. Las vistas son una gozada. Por la época en que hemos ido no hemos podido disfrutar mucho de las terrazas ni de la piscina, pero con buen tiempo tiene que ser una maravilla tomarte algo mirando de lejos el mar. Los dueños se preocupan en todo momento de tu bienestar. La limpieza es perfecta. Cualquier mínimo problema es tratado como una prioridad. En nuestro caso teníamos un poco de frío y tras comentárselo a los dueños, Julio y Amalia, nos trajeron un potente calefactor en menos de 1 hora. Julio nos dio de su huerto un montón de verduras y frutas durante nuestra estancia en la casa y también para llevarnos el día que nos íbamos. Todo riquisimo y con un sabor extraordinario. Un lujo para los que solo tenemos acceso a estos productos en el supermercado. El lugar es muy tranquilo, perfecto para descansar y desconectar de la rutina diaria. A menos de 5 minutos del centro y de grandes supermercados. Sin duda cuando volvamos a viajar por la zona repetiremos. Gente tan sencilla, cordial, amable y accesible, junto con las características de la casa y su equipamiento, hacen que la experiencia sea excepcional.

Hemos pasado 9 días en Casa González, Sólo íbamos para 7 pero lo ampliamos...merecía la pena.El lugar es estupendo, en la casa no falta absolutamente de nada, muy acogedora y muy limpio todo. Apartado de la zona playera, pero a 5 minutos del centro. Las vistas maravillosas, la tranquilidad absoluta. Julio y Amalia super amables, nos han dado toda clase de frutas de su huerto y todas exquisitas. Os lo recomiendo, nosotros repetiremos.

Una gozada de alojamiento
Hemos pasado una semana en Casa Gonzalez. Todo ha sido genial. La casa es una maravilla de paz y tranquilidad a 4 minutos de Almuñecar. Los propietarios gente super amable. Amalia y Julio nos han tratado de maravilla. Julio además se ha encargado de que no nos faltara una verdura o una fruta de su huerto, que por cierto nada tienen que ver con las que se compran. Riquísimas. Nos enseño todo su huerto y nos explicó todo lo que producía. La piscina, un autentico lujo. Las vistas buenísimas. En fin, que no se cuando, pero repetiremos.

Excelentes vacaciones
Vacaciones relajantes. Los dueños un encanto, Julio estuvo en todo momento muy atento con nosotros, tiene una fruta excelente. Aunque la finca la compartes con los hijos, en ningún momento notas que están. La casa esta equipada con todo lo necesario para sentirte como en casa. La piscina es un lujo, ya que la puedes usar a cualquier hora. Sitio recomendable 100%. Volveremos

Excelente
Si buscas tranquilidad y unas vistas privilegiadas de una de las bahías de Almuñecar, desde esta la casa lo tendrás. Dan ganas de quedarse todo el día en el porche y desde cualquier lugar de la casa al sol mirando al mar. La casa esta totalmente equipada y limpia como tu propia casa. Los dueños (Julio y Amalia) son encantadores y serviciales y no escatiman en que te sientas como en tu casa, cosa que han conseguido con nosotros. Con toda seguridad volveremos. Ana y Paco
