The Peaceful Valley Lodge is a vacation rental cabin in the Colorado mountains just 12 miles from Breckenridge, CO. The home is extremely private and secluded. If you are searching for a luxurious Colorado mountain cabin for a family reunion, weekend getaway, romantic honeymoon or just a beautiful mountain vacation, the Peaceful Valley Lodge is perfect for you. **4WD/AWD required in winter/early spring to access cabin**
The lodge is privately owned by Marshea and Gavin Vitt. After searching for many years for the perfect mountain vacation retreat, they found the Peaceful Valley Lodge and fell in love with it immediately. The lodge is located on a secluded 2 acres wooded lot with spectacular mountain views. The home easily sleeps 6, is very well appointed with full kitchen, hot tub, wood burning fireplace, satellite TV and internet service, living and dining rooms, master suite with king size bed and private bath, rec room and much more. This charming round cabin is situated at nearly 11,000 feet where the air is crisp and clear, the views are spectacular and you can enjoy a true Colorado mountain experience.
At the Peaceful Valley Lodge mountain vacation cabin, you can relax amid a dense growth of pines, willows and aspens while contemplating the view of two of Colorado's highest mountains. Though you are only 12 miles from the international resort town of Breckenridge Colorado, you are hidden in a peaceful national forest and you can see no neighbors nor hear any traffic from your private haven. The only sound is the wind gently rustling through the trees.
The Peaceful Valley Lodge, built in 2001, is a beautifully furnished two story private mountain vacation cabin rental home that offers 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen and huge living, dining and rec rooms. Six huge picture windows wrap around the main living area and provide jaw dropping Colorado mountain views.

Amazing family get a way
This cabin was amazing for our family get a way! We had so much fun with playing in the snow, family game nights, and so much more! Everyrhing you could ever need is at this beautiful cabin. The owners were very sweet and amazing! We will definitely be coming back in the spring time!

The house is very family friendly, with plenty of space and bathrooms. We loved bring able to hear the rushing water from Montgomery Resevoir from the house. We loved the location!

Fantastic Getaway for the week
The cabin is located in the perfect location, only 20 minutes or so from Breckinridge and minutes from great hiking. The property itself had amazing views, was meticulously cleaned before we arrived and was just an outstanding getaway.

Stayed over a fall weekend with 4 adults and dogs, and it was such a great weekend. Communication with Marshea was easy. The house was clean, the views were even better than expected, the hot tub was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend away from the city.

We came for a relaxing few days in a quiet mountain setting with beautiful views and that is exactly what we got. The kitchen was very well appointed and the entire home was cozy and welcoming. We wanted for nothing.

Wonderful Cabin
Beautiful cabin home with everything you would possibly want or need. Gorgeous panoramic views. 30 minutes or less drive to Breckenridge Ski Resort. In March Spring Break season a 4 wheel drive is a must to get up the steep driveway and roads to the highway. Overall an awesome place to stay!

Perfect location, beautiful views
The house is close to many locations with fun things to do and you are away from high traffic areas. It's right next to the Montgomery Reservoir and Hoosier Pass with great hiking and amazing views. It is also very close to Breckenridge and Fairplay. The house is big and is supplied with many things you need. Communication with the owner is outstanding, she is very responsive to questions.

Beautiful secluded paradise
The views are amazing at 11,000 ft. it snowed every day of our stay. We watched a baby fox playing one morning. I can’t say enough good about this place or the owners. We had great communication, and a great time!!

This property was absolutely beautiful, the surrounding area was beautiful, and the owners have thought of every single thing you and your friends and family may need to have the best day possible. We stayed during Christmas and they even had to Christmas trees throughout the property with ornaments so that we could decorate it when we got there. We had so much fun, it was so relaxing, and we would definitely recommend this to anyone and definitely stay here again! Don’t bring anything but yourselves in your clothes… They have literally thought of everything! Kitchen was well stocked, they had games for the kids, they had books, and they even had sleds! Definitely worth visiting if you’re in this area.

Adorable mountain cabin
As long as you have snow tires any vehicle can get here. My front wheel drive car with snow tires had the easiest time of all my families vehicles getting up the driveway. Place had everything plus more that you would need for vacation. Breck is close and world class resort. Elevation is something to consider especially if you've never stayed at 10,000+ feet before. With vigilant hydration no one in my party got sick. Highly recommended!

Mountain Getaway
Marshea is an attentive hostess with a clean and comfortable home that is well stocked. She responded to messages and questions fairly quickly and was quick to address any concerns The house is about a 20 minute drive from Breckenridge, so about the furthest limit we were willing to drive. We loved seeing the deer, birds and even a fox while we were there. We also loved the sounds of the stream nearby. Nice location, but gravel roads with a fairly steep driveway. The house could use some minor upgrades. The air hockey table wouldnt stay on so we couldn't play. The sheets on the master bed were a little worn and nubby. Some of the bath towels smelled of mildew. A drawer front was missing in the kitchen. The grass around the house was knee high and overgrown so it brushed against you on the first stairs entering the house. All were minor things in a otherwise lovely home, but woth mentioning.

Incredible place and great hosts
This was the perfect getaway and the hosts were so accommodating. We stayed for 6 weeks, which is longer than most people probably stay, and Marshea was very communicative and flexible to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The local towns of Fairplay and Alma have everything you need in terms of dining and groceries, and being 30 minutes from Breckenridge is great for a day on the slopes. Coming back and relaxing in the private hot tub was a great way to end a long day as well. A 4WD/AWD is definitely recommended/needed out there no matter what (we have a Jeep), but we were pleasantly surprised with how fast the driveway would get plowed every time there was a large snow! We loved the place and might have to book it again next year!

Awesome Spring Break home!
This property was even nicer in person than in the pictures. The property is on a hillside which made sledding ( they had lots of sleds to use) so much fun! The whole property is private and off the main road. The teens went skiing at Breckenridge which is only like 20 min away. We all enjoyed the hot tub, especially with the snow falling. This home has some steep steps which would be hard for older people, but wasn’t any problem for our family. The main bed was really comfortable and it was great to have an en-suite attached to the main bedroom. The teens loved their privacy down the spiral stairs. Downstairs they had their own rooms, a sofa and big TV. We saw moose several times near the property. Communication with the owners was easy and they answered any questions with had very promptly. We loved the property and would highly recommend!

Exceeded Expectations Peaceful Valley Lodgeg
Peaceful Valley Lodge was better than advertised. Hiking trails minutes from the front door. Scenic Views. Great living room with panoramic windows. Loads of games. Abundant towels and kitchen supplies, DVD’s, Satellite TV (although we didn’t watch TV), and bedding for pets. Hot tub worked great. Owners were very responsive on communication. They say what they mean and mean what they say. Lodge was better equipped than advertised. Pleasantly surprised and the whole family enjoyed the visit. We would recommend Peaceful Valley Lodge.

Very nice place.
The grill did not work. The propane tank could not open. It may have been stripped but could not get any gas to the grill. Just want the owners to be aware so they can fix it. Also, in the arriving instructions it would help to let us know we have to turn the water on.

A Beautiful Location Which Needs Some TLC
We recently stayed here over Thanksgiving, the trip was great overall and we had to leave a bit early due to altitude sickness unfortunately. The cabin location is great, the views from the second floor are beautiful. There was plenty of wood for fires and lots of items to cook with. The cabin itself needs some tlc. The fridge had old and expired stuff in it when we arrived. The bed frames and blinds had dust on them. There were spots where paint was falling off. The dishwasher smelled awful, we didn't know if the dishes were actually getting clean. Internet and TV were good and provided a way for us to relax when we weren't playing board games or other off the grid activities, which we did a lot of. The connection worked for me on video meetings, which was awesome. Overall the cabin was a great getaway, for the price though, I may look elsewhere. The cabin is nice, but it needs a significant clean. It was disappointing to know we paid a cleaning fee and yet the place wasn't. We spent time cleaning out the fridge of expired items to make room for our items. The furniture and blinds had dust/we're dirty, and overall while we enjoyed it we don't think we'd go back.
