"Nice hotel with a good restaurant. The restaurant was crowded and loud but the food was great. Jazz band at the bar was a plus! We stayed in the “historic” part of the hotel. The room was large and very nice - however the walls were very thin and we could hear “everything” going on in the room next to us."

"Very charming historic inn. Staff was nice and helpful upon check-in, and when i accidentally locked my key in the room. I booked the Bouvier room on the 3rd floor which was quiet and comfortable. Being a historic inn, I went in with the expectation that it would be low frills, which is was. But for the price, I think it's a great option for anyone staying in the Newtown area who wants historic charm and to be in the walkable State Street area. "

"Adorable, quaint Inn. The rooms were decorated with matching walls and window treatments. In my room, the sink was outside of the bathroom, which was convenient. The grounds were wonderful to just sit outside & enjoy the weather, read or work on a laptop. There were benches & a gazebo. I called & told them I wasn't going to be there until late. The person told me the steps I needed to take, to get in. It's safe, because the outer door is locked at night (but each guest has a key to...
