"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

"Beds were very hard but Athena, the owner, plans to get memory foam toppers. Athena was absolutely wonderful - she greeted us with wine and cheese and hugged us all when we left. The house was incredible."

"This was the loveliest place we stayed. It's rural and the views are amazing. It is simple, quiet and relaxing and the staff are amazing and really made our stay special. They have a small menu for guests and the food is EXCELLENT! We will stay here again even longer next time we are in Crete."

"The property was superbly postioned... Just steps from the sea... The owners were very welcoming to me which was reassuring as i was staying alone. My room was airy and spacious. The decor and furnishing was slightly dated but did not bother me as it was very clean. The bathroom was small and could do with modernising the shower but it was adequate. "Wonderful room, stone built, very rustic. We loved it! It is located in a quiet area, sea is close. Restaurants and supermarkets are closeby, and we had an amazing sunset view. "Our experience at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional! Having enjoyed several all-inclusive holidays in the past, we can confidently say this one stands out as the best by far. The variety of food options was simply incredible—there was so much to choose from that we were spoiled for choice! From an abundance of healthy dishes to excellent vegetarian options, every meal was a delight. Our room was immaculate, chic, and beautifully decorated, with a spacious and modern bathroom that exceeded our expectations. Housekeeping ensured our room was spotless every day, always adding a personal touch with their care and attentiveness. The restaurants provided top-notch service alongside an impressive selection of dishes. Every meal felt like a special occasion, leaving us consistently impressed. The hotel’s location by the sea was breathtaking. Sipping expertly crafted cocktails on the beach while enjoying the serene views was an absolute highlight. The pizza and burger station added a fun and convenient touch that we absolutely loved. If we could give this hotel more than 10 stars, we absolutely would! We're already planning to explore another Mitsis hotel in the future, thanks to this unforgettable experience. A heartfelt thank-you to the entire team for making our stay so remarkable. "Although we had a great stay at Mitsis selection Laguna when booking this I booked a bungalow sea view , i felt I was cheated on the room rate because we ended up with a garden view / children play area , and looked nothing like what was advertised on the website . We queried this at reception which we were offered another room but to another garden view so it wasn’t worth the upheaval of our belongings but the receptionist took a contact number if an upgrade became available he would call us. Never got a call . At the end of our holiday we learnt that another couple got a free upgrade to a bungalow sea view with Jazzi because they weren’t happy with their view either so I was really disappointed that the cost of garden view room rate is less than what we paid for . apart from this we can’t fault the hotel , all staff were lovely and attentive food and drinks were great too "

Wonderful Resort

"Beautiful resort with super friendly and helpful staff. The water park looks amazing for kids (and adults too). Plenty of areas for adults to relax too. Only improvement is Netflix needs to be added to the TVs in bedrooms, the existing selection of mainly news channels is awful "

Beautiful relaxing hotel

"Stayed for a week, in a beautiful location, town was quiet however expected this time of year. Lovely sandy beach nearby. All staff were friendly and helpful, rooms modern and cleaned regularly. Really enjoyed both breakfast & evening meals. Hotel maybe just a little too quiet for us but otherwise perfect"

"Lovely hotel, main pool quite busy but the private beach was amazing with great beach bar and chilled music. We avoided the buffet and had incredible food at both the Cretan restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the Italian for dinner. Charming staff, just needs a minor rethink in bathroom as shower was narrow due to placement of soap holder. Overall a fantastic experience and would highly recommend and return "

"The hotel complex was well maintained with clean and clear pathways. The buildings and rooms were modern though showed some signs of wear and tear, but all facilities worked to the level expected. Our room was lovely, actually a suite, with a personal pool which was wonderful. Food options were plentiful and varied at both breakfast and dinner. Staff were all polite and helpful and friendly."
