"We stayed here with our 2 children and it was the highlight of our touring holiday. Andy and Jules are lovely hosts and made us feel really at home. The house and gardens are spectacular, a little piece of heaven! Lovely swimming pool which was immaculate, as was everything else. "Hotel was good, service was excellent. Breakfast was very nice. Unfortunately they had a private function in the dining room so we had to eat else where. We had a flat tyre next morning and the owner could not have done more for us as we were having trouble getting the wheel off, he changed the wheel for us and put the faulty wheel in the boot as well. We can't thank him enough."

Ved aftentid kom værten og spurgte om jeg ville se månenog det viste sig at hendes mand var astro fotograf, sikken en oplevelse, fik endda set jupiter med 3 af månerne. En oplevelse uden lige, som bare var en ekstra bonus. Værelset var en hel lejlighed restaureret perfekt i gammel stil. "This is a lovely if basic hotel in a gorgeous location but it’s very remote and the little lane to get there is single track so perhaps not great in the dark. The food in the renowned restaurant is excellent with menus at €25, €35 and €45. However breakfast at €12 per person offers minimal choice and quantity and some may wish to decline it. Overall this is a brilliant establishment if you’re luck enough to get one of the small number of their rooms."

"Bed very uncomfortable. Attacked by mosquitoes with over 50 bites in one night. Should have a mosquito screen on window. Mosquito repellent inadequate. "

"We had a fantastic holiday! Our hosts were attentive, accommodating and engaged us in the local community. After a few hours we felt very much relaxed, welcomed and at home! It was brilliant swimmming everyday in the pool and the numerous sitting areas allowed you shade and/or panoramic sun! Our children loved the little river at the end of the lane and were mezmorised by the Dragonflies and lizards. The BBQ was brilliant and the local restaurants were fab! "The bedroom and bathroom were very small and basic but it was very clean and everything worked. The receptionist in particular made us very welcome and was extremely helpful. Dinner was good and was very reasonably priced. The room was overpriced."

"We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions, it is very basic but suits our needs as an overnight stop with a dog. Last night we arrived and found the toilet seat cracked through and the sink cracked, the shower sealant was mouldy. I informed the reception about the toilet seat and was told there was no other rooms available and she thanked me for telling her. This morning at breakfast I gave my dog a piece of my paid for baguette and a piece of cheese, the gentleman on reception came into the breakfast room and informed me the food was for humans and not dogs! There was a French man with his dog in the breakfast room, he gave his dog food with no problem. We will not be staying here again and I would not recommend this hotel based onmy latest experience, I felt extremely threatened by the attitude of the male receptionist and his manner towards me. "

Nice garden and outdoor

"The property has very nice garden, swimming pool and tennis yard. The house however requires reconstruction, especially bathrooms (only one of three is OK to use) and kitchen (very small and difficult to manage cooking for 8 people). There are only 8 proper beds, not 14 as mentioned in the ad. In neighborhood are very noisy dogs, day and night."
