"This is my second time staying at this property. I suggest you ask for room #17, it has the best views. The parking garage is located next door so it's convenient. The shopping and Christmas markets are an easy walk to the right after you come out of the front door. The city walls can be walked if you go left out of the front door. The staff has always been great and helpful. Everyone speaks English as well. "

"The hotel was such a nice place to stay with a great convenient location very close to the main square and many resaurant options. They have outdoor and underground parking, but you will first have to check in and let the person at reception know that you want to park. The have a self-service drink area with vending machines that had alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if we're back in the area."

"This historic hotel is truly one of a kind! It’s the oldest in the area and has been beautifully renovated. The staff are super friendly and always ready to help. We stayed in the charming and spacious attic suite, and we absolutely loved it! We loved this hotel so much that we even bought a miniature clay building of it as a souvenir. We highly recommend this hotel, and when we get the chance to visit the area again, we will definitely stay here once more!"

"The manager Filip was very kind and knowledgeable! The dining experience was absolutely superb. If I could give more stars, I would. He had very excellent wine pairings and was very helpful when we had questions. Helped us with our bags up and down the stairs. He even valeted the German super car we rented! Michael also made our breakfast experience smooth and easy. The staff is so friendly and attentive to their guests. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!"

Some old hotels show signs of age but the owners of the Eisenhut have made sure that things are clean and new without spoiling the charm of a century’s old building . "Quite clean. Breakfast is simple but good and the host family is very kind and always available to help. Nonetheless, rooms are small and soundproofing is poor so you can hear noises from other rooms (e.g. toilets flushing, bathroom extractor fans, rushing water from the showers, etc.). Overall, we found it overpriced: during the same holiday, we stayed in 3 and 4-star hotels in the very centre of Nuremberg, Bamberg and Regensburg and they were all cheaper than this pension."

"We were greeted by the staff member who was very sweet and walked us through the lobby and restaurant, as well as the after hours entry just so we could find our way. In addition, it’s a very easy walk to the town center and very convenient. They also provided a treat for my dog which she loved. I would recommend this hotel and hope to return."
