"I found the hotel very clean and tidy, with interiors recently refurbished, in particular the bathrooms were equipped with newest facilities. The bed was very comfortable, I had a great sleeping experience and above all, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel had many features that you'd normally find in a 5 star hotel. I have nothing negative to report and can only recommend the hotel. "

"The property is a bit remote, set in the charming hills between erkelenz and Aachen. Excellent place to get away from it all and have a focused meeting with colleagues. Great service. No A/C which means the rooms are hot and stuffy. Wry comfy bed and pillow. "

"We booked to stay here while attending the F1 Grand Prix in Spa, 29 miles away. It was convenient, very clean, had spacious rooms and was a pleasant stay. The only negative was that there are no staff onsite (all automated) and therefore no breakfast options. Not even tea or coffee making in rooms! I’d stay again, but I’d take a kettle with me. The only options for food within walking distance are McDonald’s and Burger King, which my 14 yr old loved but I wasn’t so keen. We did buy food in Lidl...

"We really enjoyed our stay here at the castle. The amenities were wonderful, the room was very comfortable, and all the facilities at this location were wonderful. We also enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee at the basement café. We did want to mention to the maintenance crew that the armoire in our room, where the robes were stored, had a very strong smell of spray paint. "I really love this hotel as it’s very easy accessible plus there is always ample, free parking. "Our stay at Friends Hotel was very good! The room was roomy and very clean. Not much of a decor but cleanliness is important to me. The hotel is close to busy road so with the windows open it will be very noisy. I can see it being very hot in the summertime. Fortunately for us it was a 2 comfortable evenings. Breakfast in my opinion was very good with plenty of options. They replenished often, breakfast room is not very big so it can get busy. Overall I liked our stay!"
