"The view from our room was absolutely amazing and the bedroom was very comfortable. The bathroom on the other hand not the best, quite dark and the shower had quite a bit of black mould stains and needed a deep clean. Steep walk to get down to Ella and back to the hotel again. "I really liked how peaceful this place was with a great view. The English breakfast was not great, but the Sri Lankan breakfast was very good. And the Jacuzzi is nice to have, but it’s not hot. The room was great that I had with a view of Ella rock. "Overall my stay was great. The view and peacocks were beautiful. The food was also great. Only complaint I have is there was a mouse that entered our room. The hotel provided a mouse trap which did catch the mouse. Keep in mind that this room is outdoors so you may see insects and mosquitoes in your room. "

The property is ideally situated to walk to the town centre (10min), Nine Arch Bridge (30min), Little Adam’s Peak (1hr) and Ella Rock (2hr), all places we would highly recommend visiting, especially Little Adam at sunrise. "The Cubes is a modern clean hotel with comfortable beds and amazing views. The service provided by the team is fantastic and they will do and arrange anything to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel is out of town and is very quiet. Nice if you want to get away from the buzz of Ella. It’s a short Tuk Tuk ride away, which again the team will organise (500lkr each way). We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast there as well and would thoroughly recommend the hotel. "

"A simple lodge with awesome views! I was gently greeted by the rising sun. No Aircon but temperatures were between 16 to 18 degrees Celsius in the early morning. You need to be moderately fit to climb down 2 flights of stairs to reach your room. The road up is very tight and big cats may have difficulties going uphill in the tight environment. Hotel manager Priyanatha helped me book a very punctual Tuk Tuk that fetched me up and down. Thank you!"
