"A superb safari game lodge in the Eastern Cape South Africa. Excellent in every way with very knowledgeable rangers who offer 2 x 3 hour game drives per day. Wonderful variety of animals to see :- lions, cheetah, elephant, giraffe white rhino, hippos, eland, kudu, vervet monkeys, black wildebeest, ostrich and warthogs. "Our stay at Woodbury Lodge was nothing short of spectacular. The lodge offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere that truly immerses you in the beauty of the Eastern Cape. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s warm hospitality made us feel right at home. You can tell the staff take great pride in ensuring every guest has a memorable experience. Our stone-and-thatch suite was incredibly comfortable, with private deck where we could enjoy the stunning scenery and wildlife. The game drives were the highlight of our trip... JP, our guide, was so knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife and entire environment, making each drive an exciting adventure. We were fortunate enough to see four of the Big Five, plus a ton of other amazing animals. The all-inclusive meals were delicious, with a variety of options that catered to all tastes. Dining on the expansive deck overlooking the plains was a delightful experience, especially during sunrise and sunset. We can’t wait to return!"

"What can we say this place took our breathe away! Such a beautiful setting with the accommodation set right amongst the natural surroundings of how these animals should be seen. The staff again like at Tsala in Plettenberg were amazing and can’t do enough to help you during your stay and after too. The guides are extremely knowledgable and welcome all questions and make you feel very comfortable and at ease during the game drives. For anybody wanting a unique safari experience with game animals in their natural habitat this is the place to visit. "

"You’re right on the edge of the best reserve in the area & the game drives are all on the Shamwari Game Reserve. These are better than we ever expected & our ranger/guide, Cillia, was the best! Daniel at the Lodge managed everything for us & was always there for our needs, nothing was too much trouble & he ensured everything ran like clockwork. Cynthia was brilliant, always smiling and calm, Ntombi was also excellent and helped us with our questions about local culture. Overall superb!"
