"This was great and unexpected find!This is a quiet, unassuming little hotel in a former Navy Base. The area is safe and you'll avoid the chaotic traffic surrounding the city. Driving to the dock to take the ferry takes no more than 5 minutes (35 minute walking) and there's free parking in the area. Another 5 minutes in the ferry and you're in downtown New Orleans without the stress, after enjoying nice views of the city from the ferry. "We love everything about this property. It is easy to walk to any main attractions. We walked along the river to the French Quarters, shopping, eating, and all the Jazz bars. After the nice excursion, we can come back to our nice room and have our PEACE and QUIET. The room is so comfortable- the space, the bed. Bounus- the bar is lively with Great drinks options for non alcohol drinker. The food is excellent !! We love the Po-boy shrimp sandwich. "
