Super stay
Fabulous stay. Very spacious beautiful lodge. Just a couple of points - downstairs shower not very hot with little pressure. Fourth bedroom at top of stairs was quite cool. Felt in such a beautiful lodge the cutlery and crockery should have all been matching. Minor issues - overall a super experience would and have already recommended the property.

Wedding accommodation
It’s a very nice place to stay could do with a little bit of up dating and refurbishment due to ware and tear of rental accommodation. Maybe a meeting when you first you get into accommodation would be also a nice touch. Lack of frying pan only Wok type pan not good for frying your eggs ! External Rubbish bins full on arrival so had leave on top of bins. Overall experience was positive, due to tranquil location. Differently need a car to get around with local shops in Helensbrough around 5 miles away.

Carriage Lodge
While the lodge was comfortable and met most of our requirements, the following are some items that we found need attention: 1. Trash/ Recycling: the bins were 1/4 to 1/2 full when we arrived and were not emptied during our entire 12-day stay 2. Towels: more than one bath towel/person would have been appreciated 3. The fans in the second floor bathrooms did not work properly 4. The front door was, at times, difficult to lock/unlock

Perfect
We were 3 couples staying in The Carriage Lodge. We chose this property over some of the other options based on the garden space that is available. One of our better decisions. Firstly, it has to be stated that we were very lucky with the weather. That certainly helps in this part of the country and not something that can be guaranteed. However, having lucked out with the weather we took full advantage of all the space and luxury this lodge offers. There was plenty of space inside to have a decent level of privacy, a decent amount of space, a decent level of flexibility to cater for our needs. We were in the garden until after 10pm each night. We took our own pizza oven / cooked on the BBQ and made full use of both large fridges. Lots of space for cooking / all utensils on hand Spotless. Well kitted out. Very helpful staff. Perfect.

Very nice
Carriage lodge was very nice. Great to be able to all be able to sit round in the lounge. Very clean, lots of utensils for cooking. Lovely garden area. Close to the cruin, 10minute walk.

Beautiful Property
Really nicely done out house on banks of Loch Lomond. Whole house seems to have been recently done out to an excellent standard and all rooms are beautifully furnished. Location is great for exploring the area but is not particualrly close to pubs, shops etc. with (mediocre) Duck Bay Marina about a mile away only place easily walkable. Garden is also fantastic. Property is large enough to accommodate 8 x adults or 2 x families of 4 in comfort.

Family Spring Holiday
We would recommend the Carriage Lodge without any hesitation. It was very homely and all the finishes where of a higher standard than a holiday let. Great location providing you have a car. The house was big enough to give seven people enough space and catered for the needs from a 12 year old to an 80+ year old. Great stay. Thank you.

Family Celebration for my husbands 60th Birthday
We had a lovely and relaxing stay. The house was amazing and catered for all our needs . We thought the Welcome gifts were a nice gesture. The weather was conducive to indoor and outdoor activities and we spent time in the garden both days. Two of my grandchildren loved the space to play and move around ,the other was a baby . This was our first experience of Loch Lomond Lodges and hopefully there will be many more in the future.

Family get together
This was our second family get together at Carriage Lodge and catered for our 2 year old up to our 87 year old Grandmother. The garden is perfect for the wheelchair and tot. We yet again felt at home with no negative points whatsoever and we will definitely return when we can.

What a wonderful place!
The house is just beautiful we had everything we needed and more. Everything we could of needed was provided. It was immaculate! Liz has been incredible with flexibility during covid and the trip was moved 3 times! I cannot fault Auchenheglish Lodges for their customer service and their home from home experience. If your looking to stay in Loch Lomond I highly recommend

Excellent property. The shared courtyard is very secure. One minor problems with the WiFi but very easily solved by communicating with the team which was actually our fault. Lovely welcome basket.

A lovely house and garden.
Unfortunately we had a severe plumbing problem which was dealt with very badly by the house-keeper (who was rude to me) but very well by the Manager. The house and furnishings are excellent, the garden is beautiful. The kitchen lacks several items (salad servers, no teapot until I asked Manager for one, odd arrangement for using the grill, poor quality dishwasher, only one tea towel provided until I asked Manager, no large milk jug as the house is for 8, no water jug). We also felt it would be good to have a map of the estate/local area as we were new to it all. Very quiet, good beds and bathrooms, but no shaving/toothbrush charging. Again, the Manager provided some plugs for us. Small TV for the size of sitting room.

Wonderful Stay

Overall the property was excellent, good location and plenty of space.The only downside was one of the single beds in the downstairs bedroom was very uncomfortable , maybe needed a new mattress ? We also contacted the manager as the heating wasn’t working and we needed to dry our towels ( there is no dryer ) but no one came to look at it ? .Despite this we would stay again !

Booked at short notice with liz who was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us
For 4 of us, Carriage Lodge was far too big for us but nice and cosy all the same. It was so nice, we have booked it again only this time there will be 8 adults. It will be ideal.

Had a Fantastic stay at Carriage Lodge with a group of Friend’s,In our eyes its a 10 out if 10, What I would say though is A Hot tub would be of great use in the Wonderful Garden at the Patio area,I only live a 10 minute drive away but felt as if I was miles from home,Comfortable all through out,and had everything and more that you need for a break away ..

A comfortable base
Generally we were pleased with the facilities at the lodge. It was showing signs of wear and really needs some tlc to be classed as 'luxery'. The downstairs shower did not work as the temperature control was ineffective so for those in the downstairs room it meant they had to keep using the upstairs bathroom which put pressure on that - one bathroom between six adults is not really acceptable. The so called welcome pack was disappointing - one bottle of prosecco between eight, bottle of milk, small loaf of bread and box of shortbread. We were invited to enjoy the goodies in the fridge - there were none! Also no teatowel. However, despite the above we did enjoy our stay and we're impressed with the service received when altering our original booking.

Absolutely loved the carriage lodge! Picture perfect and so comfortable! Was ideal for a 5 day get away for my partners birthday! Perfect location for a bit of quiet, but only 5 mins by car to plenty of activities and places to eat! Honestly couldn't believe the price! Will definitely be staying again and couldn't recommend more!!

a family birthday weekend
I booked three of the Auchenheglish properties for a weekend to hold a family celebration. Everyone found the three properties outstanding in terms of comfort, presentation and space. The Carriage has a great lounge area for socialising. There was more than enough space in each property for the allocated guest numbers, not just in the communal lounge and kitchen areas, but even in the bedrooms which gives guests some space to be private if they want. Great location near Loch Lomond and Glasgow airport. The whole process of booking, sorting out the fine details of the room allocation and departure was made easy by Liz and the 'clean-up' team I would definitely recommend Auchenheglish and I will be using them again any time i can.
