"A bit of a walk, but it is a very nice walk and the views are spectacular. Breakfast was also a must. Very well done hotel and cosy reception. Lounge area is also very relaxing. I had an issue with a bathroom leak in the shower but it probably not common, I let the staff know."

"Hotel Alpenhof if a beautiful, peaceful hotel in Grendelwald. We had a suite on the top floor with a balcony and a sweeping view of the mountains and green hillsides. The room was spacious and clean, with an handy minibar in case you want to have a beer on the nice deck, and tastefully decorated in Swiss style. The restaurant offered good Swiss food and a nice breakfast buffet. Staff were very nice. It’s right up the hill from the train station, so very convenient. They will pick you up if you don’t want to walk up the hill with your luggage upon arrival. We loved this place and highly recommend it."
