"Every year my hubby and I go away for our anniversary and this year we chose this beautiful, quiet cottage near a lake that we had all to ourselves. This was the first time in 31 yrs we could actually swim in a body of water on our anniversary and so glad it was there. Such a beautiful spot and the hot tub at the cottage with the sparkling lights up above was so romantic. We loved the screened porch for this time of year to keep the buggies away. Budget basic.
"This is a dorm room. No frills, tv, or AC (very hot inside, fan can be borrowed with deposit). Bathroom is not ensuite (shared). Pool is offsite. It is a budget accommodation, but considering how basic, still feels overpriced. Staff initially did not want to honour my hotels.com pricing. The best part about my stay was visiting the KC Irving building and gardens adjacent to the building. "
