"The hotel was so clean and comfortable. We had everything that we needed and more. Every member of staff that we came across was really friendly and helpful. Our room was very large and we had a beautiful, huge, cloud-like bed. The pool was lovely and clean. The filtered bottles of water are a really lovely touch, along with the honeycombe on arrival. I have dietry requirements, which were catered to wonderfully for breakfast and when we ordered room service (which was yum!)"

Room was really cold and thermostat either didn’t work or heating was insufficient. Covers on bed did keep me warm enough to sleep but was still cold. "I booked the Chequers as a mid way journey point before moving to France. Hotel was easy to find and park car in large rear car park. Receptionist was enchanting and helpful.
