"Arriving at Casa Escondida gave us the feeling of an authentic New Mexican experience, which is what we wanted. We enjoyed the scenery outside the building as well as the architecture and decor inside the building. The breakfast was delicious. The classical music created a relaxing environment. While a current newspaper and fireplace were available in the sitting room, there appreciably was no television with talking heads. Ernesto (the proprietor) makes a sincere attempt to become acquainted with his guests. Other staff members are equally personable. If given the opportunity, we would stay again."

"Buffalo Thunder was Wonderful New Years Eve in 2015 and again on Christmas Vacation in 2024. I know this may not be mentioned enough but Maid Service was Excellent! (And Very Much Appreciated) The only negative was All Front Desk personnel were Non-Smiling and Non-Welcoming at Check In and Check Out. Otherwise, Buffalo Thunder is a Wonderful Resort.
