Villa Mauritius is a beautiful holiday villa affording a prime location in Galé, with breath-taking sea views and only 400m from the best golden sandy beaches. Ideal for large families, this charming 5-bedroom property has a spacious garden and pool and is walking distance from a variety of excellent restaurants and bars in the area.

The property has 5 bedrooms: 2 twin bedrooms, 2 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on the first floor (one of the double bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom), with lovely balconies and marvellous sea views; and 1 double bedroom on the ground floor with an en-suite bathroom. There is also an additional W.C on the ground floor near the kitchen, and another W.C. outside by the pool area.

The family-sized kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking, with a fridge, microwave, oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine and toaster, as well as a pantry and a large dining table. The main living / dining area is extremely spacious, with 2 separate lounges (one with cable TV), leading out to the garden and pool.

The lower level has all the charm of a vintage wine cellar and makes for a fantastic games room with table tennis and table football.

The south-facing swimming pool is located at the back of the property, surrounded by well-kept gardens and allowing you to relax in the sun throughout the day. The traditional covered barbecue allows for meals to be prepared outdoors, to be enjoyed on the spacious terrace overlooking the pool.

Villa Mauritius is in Galé, just a 10-minute drive from Albufeira. A variety of excellent restaurants and bars are within a short walking distance, and a supermarket is just a 5-minute walk away. A fantastic golf course is a short drive away and the closest beach (just a 3-minute walk down the road), stretches from Galé to Armação de Pêra, and is the longest stretch of sand in the central Algarve where you can find beach restaurants, water sports activities and more.

Car Hire is not necessary/needed, however if you want to hire a car, we can help you with your request.

The changeover day for this property is on Saturday.

Family Vacation
Pros: Nice outdoor space with plenty of room for gathering at the pool or around the table. Beach and restaurants are just a few minutes walk down the road. Cons: The house is older and dark and needs some TLC. The beds are hard and bedding needs upgrading. Some of the bathrooms have issues. Wonderful house and super nice service.
Very comforting service. The house was abolutely clean and in perfect shape. We had a marvellous trip. We also did a boat trip for which we were picked up at our house. We strongly recommend to do so. It was a wonderful day.

Everything was as expected and well communicated; the only shortfall was that towels and linen weren't changed as promised in the first week and we had to request the change. Otherwise it is an excellent location and very good accommodation. I would have preferred a pool table in th basement rather than a foosball table but I understand that it could be easily damaged.

This Villa is very tired and over-sold!
This property falsely claims to have air conditioning! It does not and never has had air conditioning! It does have portable cooling fans for each bedroom but elsewhere in the house there is no air conditioning! Otherwise the layout of the house is good but showing it’s age! For instance the safe in the Master Suite is non-functional. There are plenty of bathrooms but their decor is also showing its age. We needed 2 different plumber visits to deal with blocked drains caused by overgrown roots apparently. The property manager did address all our concerns promptly and well so thank you for that! But she cannot change the fact that this Villa which even today is being sold with air conditioning is not as advertised. We loved the area and noted that the Villa 2 further up from the beach was knocked down to the ground during our stay ready for re-building - good idea!
