"Pros: -Super friendly staff -Breakfast included -Pool was nice -Splashpark was awesome for the kids -Close to any store/restaurant you could need -Very Clean Hotel -24/7 Gym Cons: -Room still had a bit of dog hair on couch from previous guests (but not bad at all) -A few things in the Splashpark didn't work and pool room had a bit of a cold draft from the windows/doors (to be fair it was -35° outside) -Included breakfast was a bit limited. "Jada at the front desk and Ronald in maintenance and all the staff were just fantastic! It’s a lovely room and our granddaughter said she could live in it as a home with the kitchenette! The food in the restaurant is delicious and totally family friendly-"

"I would suggest a night light in the bathroom. Since housekeeping is only every second day - extra coffee/tea pods and coffee cups should be provided. Also, 18.00 and 20.00 for a 6 oz glass of wine is way too expensive. On the positve side, the front desk staff wwere excellent !"

"Beautiful spot, found it strange no TV in room but the facilities and amenities (hot tub, sauna) was amazing feature. Unfortunately I was there for work so with breakfast being late, I was unable to have any."

"It was lovely, clean and the stff made us feel special with every interaction. The food at Drift is amazing. The spa (pool, gym, salt room) part could have used a little more instructions on what to expect but it was clean and had good services. Interlude Spa is right next door and has wonderful sevices."

Urban Nest

"Clean room, comfortable bed, no issues as a place to stay for the weekend with my dog. Pet friendly is a huge bonus as not many places are. Interesting location with the abandoned hotel but it did not bother me. About 17 min. drive to downtown Halifax. Would stay again!"

"The room itself was average, however, problems began immediately upon arrival since the door code did not work. It required an hour of repeated messages (texts/emails/phone calls) before a working code was received. We felt lucky the evening was warm and dry. We stayed twice, with a 2 day break in between. This required two distinct bookings, and so a new code was supplied for the second stay. This code also did not work, but we were able to enter using the original code. Besides this issue, the room had an infestation of small flies and there was no hot water for 2 days. We assume contacting the message service led to a fix of the latter problem. No messages or apologies were received in response to the problems encountered. The rating provided could have been worse."
