"The camp is great! Staff is excellent and ready to take care of any need. The tent we stayed in may be looking a little old but everything works. As promised, you park your car and they come and get you for a short drive through desert sands. Once there you a can walk to some amazing sites just outside the gate. "We really felt we experienced the true Bedouin lifestyle, spending a couple of nights at the camp. The guys here are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable with the best hospitality of anywhere we stayed on Jordan. This really was the highlight of our trip! Thanks to Ahmed, he runs a great facility and makes sure you leave having fully had a glimpse into the Bedouin life. Also thanks to Salah, our Jeep guide. He is so fun to be around I just wish we had longer with him! "

"We are on a family trip to Wadi Rum, and Salman, the camp owner, welcomed us warmly with delightful tea. Beyond Wadi Rum organized our entire tour, including camel rides, at a fair price. "Be aware, if you do not take their hyper-inflated expensive jeep tour, they will try and scam 30JD for taking you to the rom and bringing you back from there to your car (which is parked outside the range)"

"Desert Bird Camp is one of 35 camps in Wadi Rum. The owner can be easily contacted via WhatsApp and he replies very promptly. I did the 5 hour 4x4 tour offered by the camp. "The guys picked us up in a rickety and bad condition car and then changed us into yet another worst car. Please be aware that if you don't take their 10JD dinner they will start behaving badly with you. So we ended up taking their dinner which was just ok. But the worst part was during their forced early breakfast before 8 am, we decided to not go for their overcharged desert Safari in their bad condition car, they asked us to go back to the town walking on the sad. Such a horrible thing to say....

"I had a wonderful stay. The rooms were excellent without being ostentatious. Very friendly management. Helped me rearrange tours after my initial plans fell through. Breakfast and dinners were enormous. A very enjoyable stay in every respect."

"Egyedi a hely fekvése. Nem csoda, hogy itt forgattak több hollywoodi filmet, mint a Star Wars és az Aladdin. A közelben semmi nincs, teljes a csend, és a nyugalom. A pihenést semmi nem zavarta. A csillagokban rég nem tudtam így gyönyörködni. A sátor panoráma kilátásos volt, és a felszereltsége mesebeli. Biztos, hogy el fogok még ide jönni. "

"We arrived from Petra… very courteous reception… unfortunately I wa s very sick on my stomach… likely from my breakfast in Petra. Mohammed and the team were VERY helpful. My wife enjoyed the camel ride and the supper… but she fell ill during the night. Otherwise, we loved every thing about the place… the location, the “bubble tent” to gaze at the stars from bed… just couldn’t do the things we had planned due to the sickness. Highly recommend this camp to others!"
