"Finding St Helens virtually booked out, we decided to take a chance on the Weldborough Hotel. We booked the cabin out the back of the hotel. On arrival we received a very warm welcome, were led to our cabin and shown where to park. This accommodation is rustic so don’t expect 4 star. We loved it. The cabin was a good size with a separate bedroom, well appointed kitchenette, table and chairs and small bathroom. The bed was not the best for us. My partner is a bit heavier than I am and the...

"It was so peaceful and I could sleep with the window open and get lovely fresh air (I live on a farm). The beds were clean and comfortable and I actually found that unisex bathrooms can work admirably, even when the Hotel was fully occupied."
