"Somewhere special indeed. From the moment we were greeted by the wonderful staff to the moment we cried as we said goodbye. Everything was perfect. If you are after a sterile 5 star experience then Avilla is not for you. If you want to be surrounded by a beautiful peaceful environment with a private pool outdoor bathroom amazing food then this is it. A most memorable stay for 8 nights. "We spent almost a month here while doing some volunteer work in the area. Villa Batu Sisi became our comfort space with a very homely feel. Adung and Marley (onsite staff) were the highlights for us. Wonderfully friendly and no request was a problem for them. They took care of the house, our washing and cleaning and helped our boys husk coconuts and harvest mangoes. The Villa was fine but does need some attention and would benefit from renovation as it’s quite dated. The A/C is not very cold...

"The property was fine. Not too many things around but it was easy enough to catch a cab (cheap) and go into town. I tried to communicate with the owner and the caretaker about airline changing our flight and arriving two hours earlier than the first plan. I texted and call both parties but couldn't get through. We had to wait for two hours to be picked up at the airport. When we checked out, the caretaker didn't show up on time. We waited for the longest we could but had to leave. The facility...

"Well maintained property. Our room had everything we needed for our stay. Staff were amazing and went out of their way to help us. Food at the restaurant was wonderful. Snorkelling straight out from the resort was beautiful, lots of fish and impressive coral."

"We booked it staying there before hiking at Mount Rinjani. We didn’t expect much but the views are stunning. The gardens are elegant, the infinity pool overlooks a gorge, mountains, lowlands and the ocean. We should have stayed here more nights. The service was impeccable and the room was spotless. "
