"The stay was great! Very friendly hosts that went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The only thing I'd say is to be sure you plan ahead if you will rely on public transportation, as bus schedules can be limited on weekends/evenings. Additionally, securing a rideshare can be difficult as well due to the remote location. "Fairly run down maybe its a work in progress? Felt a bit like a hotel that Scooby Doo and the gang might end up in! Breakfast not great on the day we were there i think they may have been caught out. A faded grand hotel . It will do but might be worth looking around . Easy walking in to town"

"We spent five nights in this unique hotel with a fascinating history. It is set by the River Lahn in the beautiful spa town of Bad Ems. The facilities such as the thermal pool were superb and we made full use of them. The staff could not have been more helpful, the room was really clean and comfortable and the food excellent. It is unashamedly old-fashioned but is full of character and we had a superb holiday there. Highly recommended!"

"Very nice hotel in a quiet environment. The whole property is nicely decorated. Especially at night the scenery is beautiful. Rooms are clean and spacious. Very good breakfast. I also recommend the restaurant for dinner. Good parking availability. Staff is very friendly. Only minor: the WIFI in my room was unstable. Otherwise: very warmly recommended. I was there for business purpose, but would definitely consider to stay there with the family. Especially kids will love this place too."
