Lavaur is only 10 minutes drive away with a local Saturday market, local shops and 2 large supermarkets (Super U is better than Intermarche). Very well equipped kitchen - with everything we needed to cook at home and a great recommendation for a local restaurant (chez Fernandez)we we certainly didn’t go hungry . "Idéalement situé à 1 heure max de tous les sites touristiques de la région : Albi, Carcassonne, Castelnaudary, Revel, Toulouse… Boulangerie à 5 minutes et supermarché à 15 minutes. Lieu parfait pour des vacances au calme et en famille. Animaux de compagnie acceptés. Pas de Clim mais les épais murs du château préserve de la chaleur même par les plus chaudes journées d’été. Le couple d’hôte est très accueillant et avenant. Coup de cœur pour ce château. "

"The property is a beautiful, spacious house which, despite its grandeur, feels like a home. Everything was immaculately clean and the facilities had everything that we needed, as a family group of eight. We loved the access to a piano for the musicians among us, made much use of the table tennis table, and also spent many happy hours in the swimming pool, which is a generous size in a lovely tree-shaded spot in the garden. The grounds surrounding the house are amazing with ample places to sit...

"Lovely, clean, spacious, well appointed, original property with an amazing pool and leisure facilities in the middle of gorgeous countryside, yet only 5 mins from the local village and 15mins from a larger town. Easy access to Carcassone and the south coast is only 90mims away. Great hosts. Highly recommend this Gîte to anyone wanting an escape to the country (but with easy access to towns and facilities).
