The village is very peaceful and quiet and the locals are very welcoming! In Kefali Villa you can have a true taste of rural Crete and enjoy nature at its best! The location of the villa is just amazing… natural springs coming down from the nearby mountains, clear blue sky above your head, wild birds of prey passing by which you can see from the comfort of the pool! On top of that, the fresh and clean air will revitalise you and the quiet of the area will ensure your undisturbed night’s sleep, accompanied only by the song of the crickets and night birds!
Furthermore, for those seeking to experience the village countryside, the area is suitable for hiking, offering some beautiful routes, mountain biking, off-road driving and walks in the nature. Carob and oak trees, some of 100 years of age, can also be seen in the area, leaving you with awe about nature’s greatness! Finally, if you are looking for local tastes, in the area you will have the chance to buy traditional, handmade local cheese, milk and wine.

Outdoor Area
The outdoor areas of Kefali Villa cover 800m2 and will make you feel like you live within a dream! the Villa is surrounded by lush vegetation, trees and flowers and boasts amazing views of the surrounding area and hills, offering absolute privacy! This is the ideal place for you to enjoy a carefree holiday, away from the fuss of the busy cities and have a real contact with nature! Additionally, the Villa offers several private spots, ideal for those who enjoy naturism!
The private swimming pool of 35m2 and 1.5 meters deep, lying on the stone-paved terrace, invites you to indulge in hours of relaxation, sun bathing and slackness! To make things even better, right next to the pool, there’s a special compartment, featuring a four-seated spa whirlpool (not heated)! Additionally, the pool area is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas, as well as with an extra relaxing area by the pool and 2 swinging chairs. Furthermore, BBQ facilities, outdoor fridge and outdoor wood pizza oven are also available, under a shaded pergola! Try al fresco cooking and dining with your whole family, while your children have fun at the playground provided. Last but not least, you will find a bluetooth speaker available at the BBQ area, so as to listening to your favourite songs while enjoying your meals! The property also features a ping pong table so you will have a lot of fun in afternoons.
Interior
Kefali Villa consists of three independent residences, which are rent together as one, for big families and friends. Each residence features a fully equipped kitchen. The Villa can accommodate up to 17 guests in total (12 in real beds and additional 5 on sofa beds).
Kefali Villa is also very baby friendly oriented, and the necessary equipment for a family travelling with a baby can provided upon request, including a baby cot, high chair and food processor. Also, in the exterior area there’s a playground for our young guests.
First Residence
The first house used to be an old warehouse, which dates back over 100 years. It is an area of 60 sq.m. and can accommodate 2 people in its double bedroom, making ideal for couples. The room is built on a rock which is visible on the floor and the walls, as well as on the open fireplace. The room is also equipped with a siting and a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen. For the kitchen table an old “volosyros” was used (a tool used in agriculture for crushing the wheat or barley in the threshing floor and it was pulled by a horse or an ox) and the area in general is decorated with various old objects used by the people of the village many years ago, for their daily needs, such as earthenware jars to store oil or vinegar, a sieve for flour, a “volista” for peas, a “thrinaki” for wheat, a shovel for baking bread, oil lamps etc. Finally, a bathroom with a shower can be found in this house.
Second Residence
The second residence is located just above the first one and it was built more recently, covering of 75 sq.m. and it can comfortably sleep up to 5 guests. Entering, you will find yourselves in an open-plan area, featuring the siting area with an open fireplace and the kitchen and dining table. Additionally two double bedrooms can be found at the back part of the house. One guest can sleep on the sofa in the living room. Finally, a marble, family bathroom with a bathtub is also available.
Third Residence
The third residence was an old stone olive press, which also dates back to more than 100 years. The space is rustically decorated and elements such as the two millstones that frame the dining area, an old loom and the stone fireplace, create a unique atmosphere. This area covers 100 m2 and can accommodate up to 10 people. On the ground floor there’s a twin bedroom (not air conditioned), as well as a bathroom with a bathtub and a washing machine. Four guest can sleep on the sofa beds in the living room. Following the round, iron staircase upwards, our guests reach the attic where two bedrooms are located. One with a double bed and the second with twin beds. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower.

Location Overview.
Kefali Villa is located in Atsipades village a small, yet picturesque village very close to Plakias that is set towards the centre of a large bay enclosed within the arms of mountains. In the nearby village of Koxare, guests can find a canteen
Plakias is a popular tourist resort and can be found 20 minutes away from the villa by car. Originally a very small and quiet fishing village, it now offers a range of amenities. Plakias is renowned for it’s natural beauty, providing all the facilities that a visitor could wish for. Along the main road of the village there are several supermarkets, bakeries, ATM machines, post office, a doctor’s office, restaurants, tavernas, cafes and beach bars while on the beach there are tamarisk trees, water sports, beach volley courts, snack bars and other shops offer a very wide range of products, including local and traditional goods.
The beach is sandy and very well organised with sun beds, umbrellas, changing rooms, showers, etc. The rocks surrounding the beach are ideal for fishing and snorkelling, as well. The road along the beach is also ideal for walking or cycling.
Plakias makes a good starting point for walks along the coast to Souda, or up into the encircling hills to other villages such as Sellia or Mirthios, which boasts spectacular sea views out to sea. A good coastal motor track runs west beyond Plakias, leading to Souda, Rodakino, Frangokastello and Sfakia beaches. There are plenty of walks locally, and bolder walkers will enjoy the high green countryside beyond the coastal mountain range north of town. Mountain biking and cycle touring are other local attractions.
