Afton Mtn. Vineyards: Damy | 1 Bed, 1 Bath

This single-bedroom cottage is named for the Barrel Cooperage "Damy" (duh-mee).  This is a barrel that we have used for Pinot Noir.  We are one of the few Virginia vineyards to grow this finicky grape, and in this cottage you too will feel unique and special!  This cottage is closest to the vineyards, so your vineyard views are unparalleled.

Featuring a king-size bed, spacious tiled bath, open plan living room, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Freshly decorated with local art and contemporary furnishings, and all countertops of locally quarried soapstone.  Solar shades in the rooms with views and room-darkening shades in bedroom and bath.  Electric fireplace in the corner can warm you on a chilly night, or just create that intimate ambience when you're ready to snuggle in for the evening.  650 private square feet with a deck overlooking the wildflower meadow and into the woods.  Wheelchair accessible.

Afton Mountain Vineyard's Tasting Pavilion is only open Thursday through Sunday.

Perfect long weekend getaway
My wife and I wanted to get away for a quick trip to celebrate our 24 year first date anniversary. It was a very peaceful and relaxing location. We enjoyed sitting in the porch in the morning drinking our coffee while the local deer were roaming nearby.

Afton Vineyards Cottages
Our location was perfect to enjoy all of the local wineries and breweries in Afton. The cottage was very nice and had everything that we needed. There is a coffee maker but you will need to bring your own coffee as the cottage does not have any. When you go to Afton Vineyards make sure to tell them that you are staying in the cottages because you will get a free sampling.

Beautiful property, relaxing stay.
We would rent this property again. Despite hurricane Ida's torrential rain and warned tornados, we are none the worse for wear. The property is beautiful. The cottage is very nicely appointed and comfortable and we had a lovely time there.

Location was great, central to many breweries and wineries. The view from the porch was spectacular. Only problem was the extremely large wasp nest hanging in the tree on the side of the cottage. The wasps made it tough to enjoy the back deck. Alerted the property manager so hopefully it'll be taken care of.

Relaxing Getaway
The Damy Cottage was the perfect little get away for my husband and our pup. The cottage was beautifully furnished, very clean and the vineyard setting was amazing. We sat on the back porch on the 4th of July and watched the various fireworks going off around us. We did some local hiking and enjoyed an afternoon at the vineyard. I would highly recommend the Damy Cottage!

We loved staying at the Damy Cottage! We brought our pup and loved taking walks on the Vineyard in the mornings before it was open to the public. It's also the perfect location if you want to go winery hoping in the area. Highly recommend for a relaxing, peaceful getaway.

Fabulous Property
Afton Mountain Vineyards provides a perfect escape for a weekend. The cottage is beautiful. Wake up early to catch the sunrise on the porch, it's a tough view to beat. Plenty to do in the area, Damy Cottage provides the perfect base camp for it all. Our dog loved it too. Don't forget to take in the stars at night!

Amazing Property on a Vineyard
This property is amazing. The access to the vineyard after hours is worth the stay alone. The cottage is pet friendly which is a huge plus, even though we did not bring the dogs. Check-in is super simple with the door using an access code only. the bed is a king size and very comfortable. The owners are actively implementing the recommendations of the previous guests. All windows now have blinds and the bathroom window has been frosted for privacy.

Quiet and cozy vineyard cottage
The cottage was roomy but cozy and nicely furnished. The bucolic setting is perfect for a quiet weekend away. The reservation included a free wine tasting which was a pleasant extra perk.
