Afton Mtn. Vineyards: Ana | 1 Bed, 1 Bath

This single-bedroom cottage is named for the Barrel Cooperage "AnA" (ahna).  We use these barrels typically for our Chardonnay and a stay here will leave you feeling vibrant and well-balanced too!  The AnA Cottage is closest to the woods, so you can sit on the porch and admire the view while listening to the rushing of the nearby creek.  Wooded views from the bedroom and bath, vineyard and mountain views from the deck and every other room in this cozy cottage.

Featuring a king-sized bed, spacious tiled bathroom, open plan living room, and fully equipped kitchen. Freshly decorated with local art and contemporary furnishings, and all countertops of locally quarried soapstone.  Solar shades in the rooms with views and room-darkening shades in bedroom and bath.  Electric fireplace in the corner can warm you on a chilly night, or create that intimate ambience when you're ready to snuggle in for the evening.  650 private square feet with a deck overlooking the wildflower meadow.

Afton Mountain Vineyard's Tasting Pavilion is only open Thursday through Sunday.

Great little cabin
Was well appointed and a great place to rest. The only issue I had was when asking if it was feather free the comment was yes. I got there and started to relax on the couch and started itching. The pillows on the couch are all feather filled. Other than my allergies it was a great little place to enjoy for a couple days.

It looks much better than the pictures.
If you are considering this place and you already liked the pictures, trust me in person it's much better and cozy! 3 min walking from your first wine stop plus you have unlimited options within 20 min drive from this place. Cleanness was TOP NOTCH!

Great little cottages nestled in the mountains overlooking the Afton Mountain Vineyards.
Super convenient to wake up in the vineyard and do a tasting, however the dishwasher was broken and not clean dishes or cutlery in our particular cottage. The couch was also miserably small, other than that great cottage, location and view. Super peaceful.

We were looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway from the city. This quaint cottage served as a great home base for doing so. It is a nice-sized cottage for 2 people, with a nice back deck and beautiful view. It is about 15 minutes from Appalachian Trail hiking and/or the Blue Ridge Tunnel (which was very cool). We were able to navigate to various other vineyards in the area, with the furthest in Charlottesville about 40 minutes away. The only negative I will say, and it depends on what you are looking for, is that you are in the middle of nowhere. Again, this is what we wanted, but I will say our only complaint was the challenges with getting Uber, or other transportation. There isn't much on the property outside of the vineyard from 11:00-5:00, and so anything you do will be offsite, and requires driving/transportation. Would highly recommend for a long weekend getaway.

2 day getaway
Overall property very nice. Gave a two for cleanliness as first evening found black spider in bed. Then looked under bed and there was a huge nest of spiders. Management needs to have cleaning crew check these areas routinely. Kitchen is nicely set up but some additional frying pans and placements for dining is needed. Would also suggest having a bottle of wine or something nice to greet guests as this is a winery. Unfortunately, winery closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Some additional touches would make this property a 10.

Romantic Getaway
Best wedding anniversary getaway my wife and I experienced in this cozy cottage. Sunrises in the morning here are out of this world. This cottage provided everything you need. It's like a home away from home. It will not disappoint. Thank you Stay Charlottesville Team for making this possible.
