"I enjoyed this pleasant cottage near to the water in Southport. It has a lovely garden with roses and lavender, and a beautiful pond. A nice quiet place"

"Castaway Cottage is a fabulous, homely and comfortable cottage literally a stone’s throw from a wonderful beach. It’s delightfully cared for, with great views from the sitting rooms and master bedroom. We felt immediately home! It has a well equipped kitchen and good bathroom which features an actual bath, which was great. Totally adored our stay and want to return."

"Cottage was full of character in an ideal location for bird and wildlife viewing. We even had our own bird hide. Bruny Island was our first stop in Tasmania, and was well worth a visit. Would go back if opportunity arises."

"The property was absolutely fantastic , location was greatThe views were breathtaking The property was furnished with great style and was well equipped Everything you could possibly requireThe only thing we would say is that most of the windows could not be opened however the sliding door out to the deck you could only open just about 30cm (this could just be a maintenance issue) otherwise the property was fantastic we would certainly come again"

"Good location. Comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Close to Hotel Bruny and the Bruny Premium Wines which are both worth a visit! "

"Best accommodation we have ever stayed in. The cottage was handcrafted by a craftsman. The decor is themed after Beaupre, the early French explorer (hydrographer), supported with a good number of antiques, collectables and hand knotted oriental rugs. The fit-out is top quality and consumables include everything imaginable from full scale sewing kits to snake bite kits. Wonderful, local breakfast supplies with fresh flowers and herbs throughout, complete the cottage. And don't get me going on how...

Relaxing bush retreat

"Instant calmness. Loved the cabin. Sat and had a cuppa on the balcony, enjoyed tending to the wood heater and slept so well in the comfy bed. Perfect base for Bruny island tours from Kettering. Great cafe in Woodbridge for all day breakfast and picking up some lunch for a day of travelling f"

Comfort galore

"The photo is not of the units we stayed in. We were in the new units behind the hotel which incidentally serves great food. The units are well set up and extremely comfortable and clean. The beds are king size and comfortable. We slept well and woke refreshed. The fa cilities are modern with a walk in shower. You could not ask for more."

Wonderful for a family

"Hosts were communicative, nice, and accommodating. The place was nice and quiet with a beautiful view. Kids room had toys and books that our 6-year-old enjoyed. There were 2 fans and the A/C worked pretty well, which maybe most people don't care about, but if you're like us... you do. WiFi was a bit sketchy but I've given them some advice on how to resolve it, so I expect your experience will be better. Beds maybe not the most comfortable but I suppose people have different tastes. All told, I highly recommend. Based on our other experiences in Tasmania, this was well above average."
