Loved the place. A short drive to the CBD, amenities nearby, lovely little house with nice bathrooms and large rooms, geeat kitchen with everything you need and bonus garden and washing machine too. Shelley was a very nice host and made us feel welcome. Would go back again!
The property was very comfortable well presented and very clean. As we had a dog trailer it was a bit difficult to back into but after the first time it wasn’t a problem. We will definitely stay at Shellie’s again.
Owner not far off, and always quick to answer any texts for adding days etc which was so appreciated. Lovely clean place. Beds super comfy. t's in a great spot with lots of cafes/restaurants!
Arthur the dog enjoyed his stay immensely! All of the house rules were easy to follow as they were the same as his normal. It was a lovely neighbourhood for walks.

Not all it was advertised
Disappointing and not value for money. The bathroom and toilet is only accessable via one of the bedrooms (the one with the tv) or by going outside then entering via the laundry. Not ideal in the night. In addition the paving outside was uneven making access to the front door, or the laundry at night, a little difficult.
The kitchen table occupies most of dining area making access around the table awkward
Location is the only redeeming feature for this property

Left a lot to be desired
What was not said was of more value. This is a 1 bedroom granny flat converted to hold as many people as possible. Access ONLY through the laundry door to a laundry larger than the bathroom. 1 bathroom accessed either through the "bed-lounge room"or via the external doors. Main bedroom - large enough to put 2 queen beds plus floor mattress & cot. Bed-lounge room had 1 queen bed, leather lounge and a desk that was not accessible to use, hidden beside the lounge. Dining room was cramped and did not permit ready access for everyone - the kitchen bench was head height and the extra bed in this area was useful for seating only. Again? I don't think so.
I have used Stayz previously and this was not a 4-4.5* property.
My puppy & I absolutely loved our stay. The place was comfortable, clean, had everything I needed and was in a great location. It looks much better in real life than in the photos.
Thank you Shelley, I really enjoyed my stay at your house. The atmosphere very peaceful, the little garden a delight to sit outside with my little dogs. The close proximity to shops, resturants, a thearte make it a perfect getaway.
I would highly recommend anyone to have a break away at Shelley's.
Property has all you need for a comfortable short stay in a fantastic neighbourhood with lots to offer at your finger tips.

Absolutely loved it!
Loved our stay at the Prospect guest house. Our host couldn't of been kinder, she even went as far as leaving a gift for each of our children upon arrival, which made their day! 😊 The guest house was unbelievably roomy, I was completely surprised in just how much room there was. The pictures shown on the site really don't do this property justice, it is absolutely beautiful. The guest house has a good sized kitchenett and dinning room with everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. It has two very large bedrooms, one with two large double beds and one sofa bed, TV, cupboard, draws and desk. And still plenty of floor space for the kids to play! The second bedroom has a beautiful timber lounge suite, a large queen size bed, hanging space, draws, TV and an ensuite bathroom. Just outside next to the back door is a 2nd large bathroom! Which definitely came in handy. This particular part of prospect is very quiet and the surrounding homes are stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed this particular property and would highly recommend it to anyone who is wanting affordable homely accommodation for their stay in Adelaide. And it's only a short drive into the city! We will definitely be staying again on our next visit to Adelaide.

A week in Adelaide
We live in the far North of South Australia and travel a lot. Often we stay in accommodation offered through agencies similar to this. Prospect Cottage has a great location in a leafy Inner suburb of Adelaide with good cafes and restaurants close by. The surrounds provide a very pleasant place to walk.
The name evokes images of rustic charm. However, while we found the accommodation to be quite rustic unfortunately, the charm was missing.
It consisted of three main rooms, one of which doubled up as a bedroom and lounge room. To get to the only bathroom without going outside guests had to walk through this bedroom lounge. Accessing the second bathroom meant a walk outside along a dodgy narrow sloping pathway.
The kitchen also provided another bed of sorts, in the manner of a bench seat.
When we travel we like to cook a meal without having to eat out all the time. What we found was chipped crockery and a burnt saucepan and other utensils which had appeared to have had another life elsewhere. One of the dishes, a bowl, had been put away with the remnants of the last meal still apparent.
Water pooled in the shower and the walls and doors either hadn’t been painted for a long time or, as in the case of the doors, not at all.
The “rustic “ garden consisted of a struggling patch of lawn with a plastic table and two chairs pushed up against the back fence. There were no bbq facilities, but given the outside surrounds it wasn’t missed.
The laundry consisted of a washing machine huddled in the carport which was secured from the street by a cumbersome ugly brown sliding door.
In short the accommodation was not up to the standard that we have come to expect from this agency. However it would suit an end of year footy team or suffice as a crash pad for a buck’s show. But, at the end of the day, you get what you pay for.
