Memorable Stay with a Serene Setting!
We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by trees that gave us the perfect sense of peace and seclusion. One of the highlights was our hike down to the river—the fall colors were beautiful, and the sun reflecting off the water was breathtaking. The kids loved the arcade games, and even the adults got into it! We were also visited by an adorable cat and dog from the neighbors, who were so sweet and fun to have around—it was hard to leave them!
However, there were a few things that didn’t quite match the listing. While the host, Ian, was very friendly and communicative before our stay, we reached out shortly after arriving to ask about the grill and didn’t hear back, which was disappointing because we had a lot of meat we brought for meals. There wasn’t a usable grill, no toaster, and a few other items that were listed as provided but weren’t, like a hairdryer and shampoo. We only had a couple of trash bags and ran out quickly. The beds were also advertised as queens, but a few felt more like full-size, making for a tighter fit than expected.
Despite these small issues, we had a fantastic time, and the location truly made the trip special. Thanks for lovely stay!
