"Very beautiful historic property with great views & location. On negative side -large airy village units only have warmish water not hot - village units outdoor showers had waist high weeds - supper menus are 5 course set menus that are repeated & are expensive for quality - restaurant staff lacking management & training - receptionists could do hostessing/oversight at meal times & spot checks on housekeeping/condition of units and gardens to support and train staff but do not - lack of comfy...

"Road is a bit bumpy to get there but wow well worth it if your looking for piece and unique experience. The food was nice but a little over priced i thought for such small amount of food. Otherwise amazing. Driving on the main road i saw just as many animals on the Addo land as what i did driving around it for 3 hours. Wish i'd stayed another day. "

"If you want to be in the middle of nowhere in your almost private African safari with giraffes on site then you should consider staying here. Is it luxury? No, but do you get great space, views, comfortable lodge and great service? Yes. More 3 than a 4 star and it does need a little love.
