"On check in, I was advised I should have booked 2 rooms rather than 1 although booking clearly stated room was for 4 people. It was then suggested that 2 adults and 2 teenagers needed to sleep on 1 king size bed. I explained this was not feasible and an extra single bed was provided. Apart from this, reception was receptive to requests. They sorted issues out like the shower not draining well. Lovely sauna and steam room. Please consider having more parasols by the pool. "

"The Staff went above and beyond. They took time and effort to connect with us in the lobby, in the dining hall and otherwise. They wanted to know our flight out and when they understood that our flight out was later than our checkout time, they were offered to extend our check out. Chef Dibyojyoti heard us call out Mishti-Doi and packed us a gift of much more - fresh Bengali sweets. We would have loved to stay more just because of the warm hospitality. "The property is new and the design of the hotel is well thought out and the furniture and bed and amenities are all world class. The location is in a new development so it is a little out of the way. Bangalore traffic is a concern if you need to go into the city. Outside of the hotel there is not much going on. "I expect higher standards at Shangri-La, decor in lobby old fashion, suite upgrade was required in order to access room early, room lovely however daily clean was poor and carpets not cleaned. Disappointed while waiting for suite access at 6am we were first refused breakfast until next day however after complaining I was given breakfast.
