"A pleasant three night stopover in Millam. A comfortable, well equipped gite. Plenty to see and do in the area."

"Downstairs bathroom was an issue for my husband ( in his 70’s ) during the night, stairs were quite steep. There is a toilet in the other bedroom which our nephew was sleeping in. Everything else was fine."

We arrived on a Sunday evening and shops are closed in France. A welcome pack with a few essentials would be appreciated. Listing on VRBO advised that towels were provided, none in the gite, not even a tea towel for drying up. "We have just returned home from a wonderful 5 night stay in Beussent. The village is lovely and peaceful with a lovely stream running through. The house itself was great, a little small upstairs and I did feedback that they should advertise bedroom 2 as interconnecting. This is ideal for families with smaller children but with 3 teenagers - not ideal. The downstairs space and garden was perfect. We visited Montreuil many times and beautiful Le Touquet. Would 100% return and the weather was HOT!"

"Maison avec beaucoup de charme et très agréable. Lave linge en panne à l’arrivée et sans réparation annoncée … dommage! Quelques tasses petit déjeuner et verres à pied seraient les bienvenus, de même qu’un ménage un peu plus poussé. Mais mis à part ces petites choses tout était très bien."

"Nous avons passé une nuit dans la maison, très bien située et facile d'accès depuis le centre ville.Tout était parfait (acceuil, propreté, literie, decoration, chambres spacieuses bien équipées). L'arrivée en autonomie et la disponibilité de Carol nous ont facilité la vie."

"House was just what we wanted and the host was great. He even came half way through iur stay to fix something. Plenty of parking and the large garden was great for the kids"

"We had a fantastic stay in the house. It is quite spacy and well equipped with everything you‘ll need. It‘s only minutes to the beach and some small food shopping spots. "

It's close to the port of Calais and the centre of Calais. Joel was a great host; he's very friendly and responsive. I would highly recommend it and would definitely come again."

"Although we have been to Northern France on numerous occasions this was a first, and it did not disappoint. Large property accommodating our party of 3 adults and 3 children (9-14). Enough bedrooms for all and a well equipped kitchen and a large loungec dine with all the cutlery and glasses you could wish for. De sleutel van de voordeur is zo goed als versleten waardoor we soms minutenlang moesten proberen om de voordeur open te krijgen, dit hebben we gemeld aan de eigenaar en deze heeft bevestigd dat hij het zal vervangen."

"This is a very basic apartment and has a very odd damp/mouldy/unaired smell on entering & a little dusty but it was fine & had everything you could need for a short break including an iron & board, hairdryer and kitchen equipment including a coffee maker, toaster & microwave. Lovely hotel, close to ferry

"Good sized family room with 2 double beds. Very clean and smart. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Drinks available at the bar. We didn't have breakfast, but it is on offer, with kids eating free per paying adult. A short walk away was a selection of restaurants for dinner. There appeared to be a range to suit all budgets/tastes, but we went cheap and cheerful at Pizza Royal (which I'd recommend). The car ferry terminal was only a 5-10 minute drive away, so the hotel was great for our overnight stay. To note, secure parking is available at £12/night. However, plentiful, free on-road parking right outside the hotel. Area felt safe (as it can be) to leave our car outside. We would definitely use this hotel again. "

"Great location if you want an early morning get away. Really close to Tunnel. Hotel is modern and clean. Hotel has a bar & breakfast was good we would definitely stay there again."

"Considering its proximity to the channel tunnel it was really quiet. Nice bar, clean rooms, friendly staff and good food in the restaurant. Nothing fancy but good selection and plenty of choice, freshly prepared. I’ll stay again. "
