"It was quiet and beautiful. The cabin is definitely rustic, although has all the amenities you want, (wifi, dishwasher, etc.) There is a gorgeous nature preserve close by, and I took walks and did an enormous jigsaw puzzle while feeling like I was in a treehouse. "

The washer and dryer made it so we didn’t have to pack a ton of clothes, so we had more room in our bags for hiking gear. It was a short drive to Mount baker, the ski resort and anything we needed. The owners recommended the market (within walking distance) that didn’t disappoint. All fresh and local food and supplies. We’d give it 10 stars of possible."

Don't miss the trails behind the house and do try the sauna. Instructions in the "green book" are very helpful for setting up sauna, TV, temperature control and the fireplace. "

We bought Jakes wood to burn in the stove instead. Had everything we needed (except a cooler-we left a new one behind for future guests!) for making meals, doing laundry and seating outside for chilling-quite literally but I love being outdoors!
