The wellness center , one of the main reasons I chose the property, was closed for 2 months. There was no coffee machine, iron, robes and communication was limited in regards to the property. We were able to check in early which we greatly appreciated after an early flight. When the pool and wellness center are open I’m sure it’s amazing.

They checked us into a room that was already checked into with a woman’s belongings in. They upgraded us to a slightly better room that reeked of bleach. The spa which we booked the hotel to use was an up charge. Very unhappy with our stay

property needed a paint job. room was outdated. in need of a major upgrade. They had a computer for guest use but it did not work and no one was able to fix it. Staff would not print my boarding pass at the front desk.

Average hotel with some good views
Room was large and clean enough. Showers need updating. We paid extra for sea views but might as well have saved our money as there was no balcony and you had to stand at the window to get the view! All the indoor facilities cost quite a bit extra. We tried to book the spa and the lack of interest in even acknowledging our presence caused us not to bother. All the staff were too busy talking!! This hotel is more for businesses/conferences than tourists Also avoid unless you are Italian.

Ok for 2 days no longer.
Hotels.com initially let us down and forgot to give a bed to our daughter. The hotel reluctantly agreed to change our room. We were put in a room just refurbished which was very nice however unfinished. wires were still hanging out of the wall on the balcony. The pool was nice and plenty of space. Largely stuck at. the hotel unless you have a car. Taxi to local town was 25-35 euro per trip. Bay view from balcony was outstanding.

Very nice hotel
Very good location if you do not want a hotel in the middle of the city, like we did. The most important advantages were the out of town location and the huge free parking available. Mind you: the entrance to the hotel from the road it 10 meters after the square turn, with a very small sign on the road, not lighted at night, though the is a huge very noticeable lighted sign above the inside main building. Very friendly staff, very accommodating. Food in breakfast was tasty and varied, nothing was missing. If one was finished, it was quickly replaced. We enjoyed very much the one dinner we had. Room was very clean and VERY VERY spacious with a very nice balcony faced to the sea. There was a minibar that we did not use, but no coffeemaker nor coffee. We did not use the spa facilities (no time), but looked into it and they seemed very nice and very popular (though not crowded). Some bizarre things: for example, room sign's' location in the corridor was in the opposite to its location. The mattress was 10 centimeters short off the bed frame. All the water cups in the room and at breakfast are the simplest plastic disposable ones, not what you will expect in a 4-star rated hotel... Also the cleaning service cart was sometimes left next to the room's door or the main elevator door during the evening. All in all we were quite satisfied from our experience and we recommend it.

Local area is ok if you have a car as otherwise walking in the evening is not ideal. I would have expected a LIMITED complimentary use of the spa facilities at a rate of over 90 euro a night. The in house restaurant staff are lovely, friendly and courteous.

Hotel large and rooms larger. Gym great but no water in it or towels and have to pay even as a hotel resident. In morning after gym session no where to get any breakfast beyond juice and croissant. Pool area very nice and food in restaurant in evening was extremely good. Need to do more to make hotel guests wanted as opposed to spa day trippers

Nice quality hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Nice comfortable bed. Spa facilities and fitness area looked good but it turned out you had to pay. Nobody told us this at reception so it was a shame to then find this out at the entrance to both. Breakfast was ok-for the quality of the star rating I would have expected better quality food, this was the first hotel in Sicily of our whole stay with poor quality juice!. Restaurant menu was limited and rather expensive compared with our other hotels and offer in Catania.

Great hotel
Our first impression of the hotel was the male receptionist. Unfortunately, our elderly taxi driver spoke no English insisted on going into the hotel, as we questioned the taxi fare which had been inflated from 15 to 40 euros.The receptionist dealt with the taxi driver with diplomacy and tact. We were then taken to our room which was exceptional - spacious,extremely clean, bathrobes and slippers, large flat screen TV, balcony, sofa and more room than we knew what to do with. The pool was lovely but you had to wear a bathing hat before being allowed to swim. The restaurant was spacious, the food was good but my only criticism was the menu didn't change. However, the choice at breakfast was excellent.We had a lovely stay at this hotel.

nice relaxing place near Catania
We had two rooms (visiting together with our teenager granddaughters). Excellent hotel - with big rooms. Our rooms faced the open-air pool (piscine) with wonderful views. Unfortunately, we got rooms without balcony. otherwise we were very pleased by our stay. The personnel is friendly and helpful (Daniel at the reception and Ricardo - were especially nice) like most of the people in Sicilia, working at a bit lower "clock rate" than people from the northern part of Italy. The spa was excellent. Coming from the North is hard to reach by the GPS as there is no number indicated on the Via Nazionale. at the hotel the back-entrance is at via Domenico Tempio 5 - Aci Castello.

the main reason I used to pick the hotel was the spa, otherwise the hotel is nice but not amazing. modern and clean but nothing spectacular. the spa is nice. many pools with different type of jets. yet, the spa could be improved by making the water temperature a little warmer. some of the pools were useless, and people tended to crowd over the useful pools (meaning with more efficient jets). the spa tends to be very busy and sometimes not too clean. the breakfast was very disappointing. in the summer it may be a wonderful location by the sea, but from november to april it is a very odd place to be - everything nearby is closed and deserted. on the other hand in the summer the spa is probably way overcrowded. I recommend this hotel in the spring and early fall.

The hotel has a large Spa Resort connected to it as well as great facilities and is still in its early days of becoming known. This puts a focus on the creation of events to attract visitors to the resort - there were 3 events during the 6 days we stayed at the hotel. They took over areas where guests would normally be e.g. swimming pool and outdoor dining area - which left us our hotel room and balcony (or the inside dining area) to use. Two staff - one in the dining room and one who managed the outside area - recognised us and smiled on a number of occasions, however we did not feel as though we mattered much as guests - even if we were there for a long period of time. We had also booked an apartment and were put into a double room on arrival. There was no problem in changing once I went and asked and an apology was made. The apartment was very spacious and had facilities for cooking however there were no appliances, no utensils, no crockery, cutlery or glasses, no saucepans - in fact every cupboard and drawer was empty. Bathroom items - shampoo, soap etc. available. We had imagined going and purchasing local produce to bring back, however we visited local restaurants instead.

Staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and Aci Castello was a beautiful city. The hotel is located directly off of the highway, so you cannot walk anywhere, such is a bit inconvenient. We only had one meal in the restaurant, which has a very limited menu, and the waist never brought one of the dishes we ordered - however, everything we ate was good. My friend and I booked hot stone massages that included an hour in the Turkish baths (i.e. four small jacuzzi tubs and 2 saunas - one at and one dry). The water in all of the baths was rather cold and not very relaxing. The stone massages were just odd rub downs on a cold table that resembled a waterbed - not to mention they lit up in bright colors and don't have the cut out to place your face in, so you're incredibly uncomfortable (and freezing) throughout the entire session.
